This thread is only for those who haven't written off the playoffs just yet - if you have please move along.
Looking at the standings, 10 wins is going to be required to get into the playoffs, it might even be 11 but you need 10 to have a chance.
The remaining schedule is as follows:
Colts
@Seahawks
49ers
Cowboys
@Jaguars
@Titans
Washington
@Rams
Eagles
Assuming a sweep of Jags, Titans, Washington and Rams that means the Giants need to win 3 of the remaining 5 games. To even give themselves a chance that means they need to win at least 2 of the next 4 games against some tough opponents.
The good news is that all of the teams are beatable. The Colts are playing well but are beatable. Seattle is banged up and vulnerable. The 49ers aren't world beaters and the Cowboys are good but beatable at home.
The Giants haven't looked great but the schedule is favorable. Unfortunately they're backed into a corner with little room for error. The season is make or break when they come back from the bye.

Look what happened.
Winning against teams like the Rams isn't a given. The Redskins are always a tough game. After all, those teams are looking at their schedules and saying that the Giants are beatable.
May not be likely, but it's not impossible.
All 3 games will be winnable. And if we do, we head into the stretch on a roll and with inferior opponents coming up.
It's not over yet but the time is now. No more margin for error.
This team is probably not making the playoffs with 10 wins. I think 11-5 is the target.
We haven't lost to a bad team yet, that's for sure but that's why our record is where it is and those four teams are where they are.
4 games...he'll get injured again...hope Reese
has a plan...
@Seahawks Loss
49ers Win
Cowboys Win
@Jaguars Win
@Titans Win
Washington Win
@Rams Win
Eagles Loss
I really doubt 9-7 gets the Giants in the Playoffs. I also question if the Giants are a mentally tough enough team to lose 4 in a row and then come back and beat teams like the 49ers and Cowboys. I see at least 3 more losses coming even if I put on the homer glasses. You have to account for an upset in their as well. Wouldn't surprise me if the Rams, Titans, or Redskins beat the Giants.
At this point we are hoping for a Giants late season miracle run. Coaches have some decisions to make for that to happen. I believe they need to open up the passing game. Eli has been accurate and hasn't had the unfathomably weird tipped interceptions. Let him carry the team.
Colts game looms big, 3-5 is not appetizing. Read from the Book of Eli Coughlin.
Fortunately all four games are winnable and they would be back on track if they can win 3 out of 4.
This next stretch can't make the season but it sure can break it.
