NFT: San Antonio Restaurant Recomendations

Heading to the Riverwalk Hyatt on biz and have a free night tomorrow. Looking for suggestions on where to eat. Don't limit it to Tex Mex as I get plenty of south of the border food as it is living in CA. That said, all thoughts welcome.

Thanks gang.

El Mirador. The caldo at El Mirador is great.

Paloma Blanca is supposed to be excellent.

the only "fine dining" restaurant that is remember but I went to this Mexican place after a long night of drinking called Mi Tierra that was awesome. I believe it's open 24 hours.
Just walked into Biga and made a reservation for later.

I used to be a manager at that Hyatt in 1997. Haven't seen the place since 2000.

I stayed at the Hyatt Place on St. Mary's. I would classify it as a mid-level business traveler spot. No restaurant on site, no room service, just basic amenities. I swear the bar in my house is bigger than theirs- lol.

I've gotten spoiled after all my years in the business world, but the hotel was fine given the # of attendees and nature of the conference itself. As an aside, the hotel staff was as outstanding as I've encountered in much higher end places. Just very nice and helpful folks.
Oh just to add re food

They do serve a semi-full breakfast for lack of a better term. Sort of an upgraded Continental to include egg and muffin type sandwiches.

Plus you can order 24/7 snacks but would need to go down to the lobby to pick them up, but whatever. I did not partake but found it unusual. Hey- everyone's controlling expenses I guess.

That's the funny thing, I was literally on the Riverwalk, but in the lower end district I suppose. Anyway, good food and drinks were had.
