disturbing, uncomfortable, but not at all shocking.

since 2003, I am positive that the average mass of NFL players has also increased (F=MA)

At one morning practice a player asked me, the smell of liquor on his breath, to run to the locker room and get him some mint gum. For weeks there had been reports that he was going to be released. When I brought the gum to him, he asked me to unwrap it because his fingers were too mangled for fine motor skills

the today's players turning down the money and leaving. While I understand some recent science and medical understanding has shed light on this, people playing now can't say they aren't aware. It's kind of like smoking cigarettes. You know there are dangers, yet you continue to do it. They all choose to play football.

Luckily they get millions of dollars to do it. There are jobs that pay a lot less that pose long term health risks.

i don't think football is danger yet, but say 20-30 years from now the talent pool might be very different. all the parents who aren't letting their kids play football but rather basketball or baseball. it might change.
