Four episodes. Made it look like we had guys targeted for every round.. guys that had much higher grades.. guys our scouts fell in love with. This could have been the editing though, with the story in mind.

Fans still don't know how the Giants draft using a voting system?
How the Giants Operate Their Draft
The draft grades are made by Ross after reading the reports and taking input from the scouts, coaches and personnel executives. He designs the draft board, based on grades, in about 10 to 12 rows, each from 1-32.
The final decision on the pick is made by a group. Reese ultimately makes the selection (with help from Ross) and Mara has to give his final stamp of approval.
"Marc Ross, Jerry Reese, the head coach, the owners, we get together to stack the board and make a decision, to say this guy is a Giant, this guy is not," executive scout Joe Collins said.
The scouts also get to give their two cents. The Giants insist that is what makes them unique from other teams — everybody has a say.
"[The scouts] deserve to give their opinions, and we listen to those opinions," Mara said about the final decision on drafting players. "They really affect who we end up choosing."
After the draft, when the Giants start recruiting players who weren't selected, their sales pitch is simple. They start naming the undrafted players (Victor Cruz, Henry Hynoski, Chase Blackburn and Rich Seubert) that started and won a Super Bowl with the team.
It's a pretty solid sales pitch. And then they start all over again for the following year.
how little Reese has to do with the actual draft. Marc Ross really is calling the shots in regards to scouting. Sure everyone gets a vote on draft day but Reese is really the authority on the inner workings of the roster and free agency. And some of these guys that are doing the scouting for us have been with the Giants for decades. Firing Reese is unlikely to change any of that actually. Great show.
Apparently my DVR would try to record the episodes right after Thursday Night Football but it was always delayed due to the game so all it would record was the post game show. SUCKS! Hopefully they will replay it.
I set it to record only new episodes, but the grid didn't indicate whether the episodes were new or repeats, so I got about 5 copies of each episode to sort through. I think I saw all 4 episodes though.

I want to add something here.
When we drafted Pugh, whose at worst an average RT in this league, everyone made the TREX jokes.
Reese flat out said that he watched every play Pugh had on tape and could never once find an issue where his arm length stopped him from doing his job.
I think what's happening here is that Reese identifies the 3-4 positions we want to draft after considering free agency and Ross gives him the top prospects at those positions.
Ross and the scouts are totally in charge of building the teams draft board, but Reese is more narrow focused and examines probably 15-25 players extremely closely. He gets those players from Ross and the scouts. Reese probably doesnt have the larger sense of "how many impact guys are in this draft vs average starters" like Ross does.
CJ mosley, Donald were completely out of the picture.
Only unsettling to a jack a$$ like yourself
When Reese says BPA, he's lying.
Finding Giants is definitive proof of that. Although it just so happens that ODB was the best player left on the Giants' draft board; Reese unequivocally identifies that the Giants will either select OL or WR with their first pick.
After watching two hours of 'Ice Road Truckers' do you know all Â
about it being easy the day of the draft and just picking the player, all the hard work being done....
The year we drafted Ross, I thought we should have moved up and grabbed Revis as the draft was going on. This past draft I thought we should have tried to move up to grab Matthews. Odell is a great weapon but there were guys in the 2nd round. Beatty was the biggest problem and still is. You can't always move around in the draft but it seems as if they don't try and then they take chances on players they shouldn't (Most recently Bromely) proved by the fact that there are very few players drafted on this team that are still here passed a few years ago.
The show portrayed draft day as just sitting and waiting until we were on the clock and picking someone. Trading up or down is not always the correct move but there are certain years where it is and the show made it seem like we don't even consider doing that. Of course that was the night of round 1 so maybe the other 2 days of the draft are different. But that scene did strike a chord with me as well.
Overall the show was excellent and provided a unique and much appreciated look into our organizational structure. The best parts to me were clearly when the scouts were watching the prospects and reacting naturally to what they were seeing. The Senior Bowl and Combine scenes in particular.

"Finding Giants" may tell the truth, but it is not the "whole truth." Four, thirty minute segments can't be the whole truth of any business operation.
