Bad feeling Hamilton wins this, I think deGrom is ROY over Hamilton however.

Crazy 2 converted SS with 268 total minor league games at the position

Lagares is better than Hamilton but didn't play enough innings

UZR numbers agree with Radar. Lagares had better rate stats, but Hamilton had better accumulation because he played more innings.

I, and likely no one else on here, has really seen enough of Billy Hamilton this season to make a comparative judgment with Lagares, though.

As such, I'd have to give the nod to Hamilton because 300 more innings in centerfield is a huge difference.

went to 20 games, and IMHO Denard Span is a GG-quality CF.

But I can't argue with JL getting it. He is just extraordinary. Span has a very good arm, but JL has an amazing arm.

If being a GG was based only at catching the ball

then you could debate. However, when you factor in, cutting the ball off spinning and making a deadly accurate throw to the base or home plate that is the end of the conversation. JL might be the best I've seen cutting off
Left center and Right center. If he doesn't win, it won't because he isn't the best, he is

A lot of GG voting is based on reputation. Same reason Legares didn't win last year is why I think he wins it this year.

Lagares is coming to be seen as the best CF in baseball

Braves manager talked about that. Giants announcers were talking about it.

Might need another year to solidify his reputation and get the "buzz" necessary to garner votes.
