My daughter live in Astoria Queens. She does not want cable because she is getting Roku.

I had a Terk-HDTVa and got rid of it for my Mohu Leaf. The leaf is a flat antenna that I tape to my Window. I have the amplified version because of how far I am from certain tv stations.

trust me, I know from experience. Whatever she gets, tell her to buy it from somewhere that will let her return if it doesn't work without a restocking fee, since there's a decent chance she's going to want to bring it back.
Yea, diigital reception is annoyingly difficult, even in queens

with a $50 antenna. It helps greatly if the antenna is placed high up and near window. Good luck.
No-cable Roku is the way to go!
