Not as pessimistic as some other posters this morning!!!!!

How is that after a bye week the nabob naysayers have upped their criticism?
We have lost to four of the top teams in the league so far. The Eagles and lions games were rough.
However we had a chance against the Cards but our offense was still too new.
Against the pukes we were without our top rusher, our new number one wideout was playing his third game and if Larry doesn't fumble, we are still very much in game in fourth quarter.
I work with t a few diehard Steeler fans and they were burying their team a few times this year. Their o line is more suspect than ours.
I think we can beat the colts and then maybe two of the next three.

I am not speculating on how high our draft choice will be quite yet.

Go big blue
I will be very happy if the Giants are 8-6

with games against the Rams (away) and the Eagles (Home).

Now that's optimism.
I'm with you

Take a closer look at some of the games

We lost to a Cardinal team with out their first string quarterback and beat Houston without Foster. Philly was a blowout and the Cowboy game was close for a half. We lack the quality players to make any kind of run this year.
I agree with the OP - there is a lot of football left

We all know that each season its who plays strong in the second half that moves on. The Giants have just as much chance as anyone else at a WC spot. Division title may be out of reach baring the normal Cowboys collapse. Fans are too kneejerk, its the NFL and things change weekly. As stated previously, Pittsburgh was awful early and are now 5-3. Indy was the glamour team but not now. The Bears were good but now they stink, etc., etc.
Cowboys on the road; Eagles on the road.

Final scores don't make much difference. Only wins and losses.

Cardinals? Everyone on this site complains about how the Giants always lose to backup QBs. So they did it again.

Lions could have been beaten if it wasn't the first game and on the road.

Three losses on the road. I wouldn't write them off yet.
It's not the record

it's how they look. The OL is being manhandled except for maye the Texan game. Where's the pass rush? I thought Demonster and JPP would be unstoppable. How many sacks so they have compared to other teams? They just look bad.
Green Bay last night

Green Bay look like they were getting momentum the past few weeks and then bam look terrible against NO.

this year many teams have been like this
they look amazing one week and sucky the next week
The Colts lost
Doomster : 10/27/2014 12:59 pm : link
their first two games, to Denver by 7 and Philly by 3....many said they were done....won five straight....the week before they shut out Cinci.....then they ran into a hot Big Ben....

They scored 34 points in a losing effort.....400 yards and 3 td's by Luck.....The Steelers pressured Luck....think the Giants can? Think this defense can stop the Colt's offense?

While I hate Big Ben, have to admire how he hangs in there until the last second to get rid of the ball.....can this Giant offense pass against this defense, like Pitt did? Or will it look for balance and plod along trying to set up the pass with the run again?

The Giants have two weeks to prepared for this team, and also watch them against Pittsburg.....this is their best shot of the next four games....traveling to Seattle and facing that wounded duck of a team, will not be easy, even if they are not firing on all cylinders.....

And let's not forget Nicks....he basically has done nothing all season.....think he shows up for this one?
Record of 6-10 feels about right

We will be playing for a top 12 first round draft pick.
You're guily of putting lipstick on a pig.

What you are really saying is the Giants lost two games they should have (could have?)won. Losing games like that is the hallmark of a mediocre team. As a fan I want a winning team, not a "jeez, if-only, shoulda, coulda, woulda" 7-9 mediocrity.

You're an optomist and I respect you for that.
Ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
