Just this year, Beckham and Beason. Let them heal properly before you throw them back in. They will get hurt again. It happens all the time. Beason rushed back, played before he was really healthy, and got hurt again. This is the least surprising thing ever.
You play through injuries in football, sure. But not all injuries are the same. Foot injury? Play it safe.

A good rule of thumb is to keep them out an extra week after the medical staff clears them.
for very low draft picks there's always a reason. Usually off-field stuff or injuries. Unfortunately for Beason and the Giants, in his case, it's the latter.
And Detroit coming back on Atlanta and New Orleans the last two weeks shoveled dirt on it.
The team can't give up, obviously, but, at the same time, it doesn't make sense to rush a guy in Jennings that they may need in the big picture (ie next year) from an injury that could leave him susceptible to something more serious.
Depends on the severity of the injury. A grade 2 MCL tear supposedly takes 2-4 weeks, a grade 3 can be up to 8 weeks or longer, unless surgery is required or other damage.
Its starting to feel like the last two years of the Fassell era when the team was decimated with injuries.
Yeah, it's easy to forget we've had this kind of stuff happened throughout recent history. And the 1999 team lost something like 11 starters to IR. Hey, at least we have the SBs.
We wont win.....I said 2 weeks ago...beason should go on ir
and another lb sign ...we had 2 weeks to get ready...
also said we should have signed Jones...and send Cox
to ps...rashad will be next...he may play a few
games and get reinjured....bad management and coaching.
We are thin at db and lb...Colts will toast us Mon..
40+ points ...then I quit watching. Hope im wrong
but tc is as predictable as play book.
NYG: LB Jon Beason will undergo season-ending surgery to repair his injured right foot. The procedure has not yet been scheduled.
The #Giants practice rundown. No Rashad Jennings, Jon Beason, Spencer Paysinger, Cullen Jenkins. Rolle limited.

Last season.
STOP LETTING PLAYERS PLAY BEFORE THEY ARE HEALTHY

That and Kennard. Hopefully he can stay healthy and develop into at least starter material.
With the way his contract is structured, there's definitely a high chance he's not on the team next year.
(Or at least there should be a high chance of it.)
But he's not the MIKE. HE'S NOT THE MIKE!
Coughlin on Rashad Jennings: "He's not ready to go."
Season might be real close to being over by that time.

A 'healthy' Beason is not an actual thing.
