this is why he's right. So much can go wrong, so quickly for teams in the NFL. The Cowboys looked flat yesterday and got beat. Romo's back injury could end up sinking their QB position, and you start to lose guys in areas where there is little depth. Demarco Murray is an absolute beast right now, but his history shows that he won't hold up to the pounding in the 2nd half of the season. Dallas was due for a regression. The question is, how much will Philly regress, because in my opinion, they are the class of the division.
Disk problem...cant believe he walked to locker...
and they doped him and he comes back...
was really wishing they sacked him more only
to make jerry look like a monster....how many
coaches would do that...its not SB...Arizona
will come after him hard if he plays.
Hundreds of miles away. I know it's easy to assume Romo re injured his back where it's been surgically repaired, but I highly doubt they would of let him back in the game of that was the case. They said he took a knee in his back and got a contusion. Until They state otherwise I would tend to believe it.

Believing injury reports is also something you should take with a grain of salt. As having a disc issue myself, any shot to my lowerback would likely mess things up for me.

You don't walk like that with a mere bruise.
I'd probably walk like that if I got tackled by a guy that size running at full speed, contusion or no contusion.
8-1 TD ratio, 2 TD's in each of the 4 games he's played with 284 yards per. This is a team that likes to play defense and run the ball. Not sure what Mike is talking about here unless he's trolling.
There was a time when there was Brady and Peyton.. Carson Palmer.. and everyone else. Hard to believe and it was only around 2005-6, but.. that was the perception at one time.
Fairly brave by Romo to shoot up and come back out

There's the notion that he's like Alex Smith in SF, asked more to avoid screwing up than to win the games. Outside of the Seahawks game I'm not sure whether that is true or not, but the fact that they were still formidable in his stead does support that idea.

Yeah, I watched a good chunk of his games and he definitely throws downfield a ton which is very un-Alex Smith like. He was also recovering from a nerve injury in his throwing shoulder. But he's taking care of the ball and still can throw the deep ball. Outside of the top QB's in the league, there's only a handful of QB's id take over him right now.
me about Palmer is the mobility.....he really doesn't move well. You don't have to be a scrambler, but it seems he's a sitting duck back there versus good pass rushes. And seems oblivious to the rush (both a good and bad thing!)
But, Arians is a really good football coach.....the thing they were saying on the game was how the playbook/play calling changes per the opponent. I think Arians pushes the limit on that facet, making them a difficult team to play.
but that didn't stop Eli, Peyton, Brady from being successful. Every QB has warts, but Palmer is playing better than 75% of the QB's in the league right now. I don't see how anyone can disagree if they've actually watched the games.
Arians is big on the deep ball. He likes to attack downfield. I don't know how much they really did while Palmer was out, but he's not the type of guy who does a lot of dink and dunk.
JJ was channeling his Shanahan with that QB decision.
And it is too bad about JD,opponent or not; we've had just too many (key)injuries, in recent years especially, to wish those on a player, even TR(with a few exceptions).
He's got some great playmakers at WR with Fitzgerald, Floyd and John Brown. They won with 2 big plays last week- a great fingertip catch by Brown on a long ball for 75 yards and a long RAC by Fitz for 80. Plus Arians/Bowles are always playing aggressively. They don't have a great front 7 but their D is always putting pressure on
I have this feeling that Dallas will unravel after they lose back-to-back at home as AZ is coming to town and they are for REAL.
And we really should have beaten them.... ugh.

And without question, fairly stupid for the Cowboys coaches/doctors to let him. Back and spinal injuries have to be assessed by an MRI...no less.

I still think San Fran is going to emerge as the best team when it's all said and done.

Check the ages of the coaches, probably the oldest staff in the league. Maybe us old guys aren't completely useless after all.
