is it me or are we always the most injured team in the NFL

bluetothegrave : 10/28/2014 4:49 pm
I would name everyone but we all know the laundry list. Could we just ever stay remotely healthy? at 3-4 with all the injuries and losses to cowboys and eagles its so hard to be optimistic. Maybe we find something against the colts and it clicks, holsey starts playing lights out, defensive line gets more of a push...hey is kiwi in the nfl anymore? I haven't seen him make a play in about 4 years.(ok im trying to be positive) demonster starts dominating and jpp does not get hurt, Schwartz comes back and stabilizes the o line, beckham, randall, parker and Washington don't drop balls and separate and donnell, fells and robinson continue their resurgence, Jennings comes back strong and Williams hits the hole hard and eli stops throwing picks...I guess...it could happen. Lets go blue.
It is just you

a Lions message board the exact same thing is being asked. Dude it's the NFL injuries are a part of the game, every team has the same problem. Just be glad your QB isn't among the injured.

It's Coughlin's rigid, outdated training regimen that is getting these guys hurt.
Maybe our front office
TMS : 10/28/2014 5:13 pm : link
should do a better job of evaluating these injured FA that we are always acquiring. Maybe their original teams did not resign them because of this possibility. Maybe we have been incompetent in that regard ?

Cardinals have been without their QB, a RB who was going to split carries with Ellington, their Pro Bowl/All Pro DL, their Pro Bowl/All Pro LB, and lost a dominant pass-rusher to a possible career ending head trauma.

Coaching has a lot to do with it too. Fewell ain't it.

franchises in the NFL. Look at three of their four superbowl runs.

There's literally no reason to complain about luck as a giant fan.

I'd prefer two bye weeks (I know a single week without Giants football is tough) to better allow players to heal (not two consecutive weeks).

Overcoming adversity is not the same as being lucky
I don't know about

that we are the most injured team in any particular year, but it sure seems like we are the most chronically injured year after year

General Tom has them on outdated equipment from the military. He still believes it is the most effective way for these guys to be in shape.

Don't believe me? Look it up. LOL!
Chargers have lost 2 starters on o line,
chiro56 : 10/28/2014 5:41 pm : link
2 running backs, both corners. It happens. Teams with decent depth ie , draft well , make it work.
We do seem to
phil in arizona : 10/28/2014 5:44 pm : link
consistently get hurt at CB.

Some of it has to do with having a veteran team, some of it is just bad luck. Depending on the circumstances, it might be wise to have a draft where we trade down and stockpile picks.

BigBlueCane : 10/28/2014 5:52 pm : link
the Giants medical staff is more cautious then most in the league when it comes to declaring guys out but that's probably wishful thinking.

I looked up pictures of their weight room and it seems like they have some pretty standard stuff. Lots of power lifting stations, benches, etc. Everything looks new.
That's the Jets stuff.
arcarsenal : 10/28/2014 6:06 pm : link
The Giants use separate equipment. Tom integrated all of this stuff when he was hired. A lot of pulley based equipment, tires, climbing nets, etc.
Have you seen the Falcons offensive

Every team has dealt with the above injuies - name them

I guess it is just you.
johnnyb : 10/28/2014 6:12 pm : link
The Lions were without their top receiver Sunday as well as all three of their TEs, not o mention losing one of the best DTs in the league during the game.

Injuries are part of the game.

I see blue walls, blue NY logos, and Chris Snee. No nets, pulleys, or tires.

Those were pictures from when they first built Met Life.. they're old. Coughlin decided not to use that stuff.
Ok, do

you have a link? Seems like it would be a pretty big story if they replaced the majority of their equipment.

I wonder if it's a training or conditioning issue. I'm just a fan. I imagine Coughlin has seen these facts and considered the cause.

Perhaps it's fate for winning the SB 2 times recently.

I remember one time, TC made all the guys run without t-shirts
SHO'NUFF : 10/28/2014 8:51 pm : link
in the hot sun just because they weren't wearing the same shirts..so then, the next day, they all put on the same shirts as each other...then TC asked "Same as me?" and off went the shirts again for the run.

Just wait until The Swede gets out of the brig. He'll show Old Man Coughlin a thing or two.
