NFT: NBA Season Opener / The Lakers are cursed Ed.

Looking absolutely terrible and Kobe looking like he isn't going to make any difference, Randle goes down with what looks like either an achilles injury or a broken leg.

You can't make up this crap.
Feel terrible for Randle...
Toastt34 : 10/29/2014 1:27 am : link
awful. On a separate note, nobody will ever feel sorry for the Lakers.
how can you not feel sorry
RasputinPrime : 10/29/2014 1:30 am : link
for a franchise that has to endure the Mr. Kardashian and Hollywood's finest fliptards sitting court-side the entire game and barely glancing up to watch?

It's pathetic. Times like this I wish I could unfriend basketball fandom.
Two form Knicks as starters.
manh george : 10/29/2014 1:32 am : link
They were apparently both awful.
Yeah, I feel bad for Randle, not the Lakers
Anakim : 10/29/2014 1:38 am : link
Lakers have had plenty to feel good about. About time they hit a rough patch. On the bright side, they'll compete with the 76ers and the Bucks for Okafor and they won't have to give up their top 5 pick...assuming they win the lottery that is.
Horrible injury
dpinzow : 10/29/2014 1:53 am : link
especially for a guy playing his first NBA game. Best wishes to Randle
No matter how much you hate the Lakers...
JayBinQueens : 10/29/2014 2:02 am : link
Let Randle prove he's better before moving on...

Tough break

Are lakers fans really delusional enough to expect any fucking NBA fan to feel sorry for them, EVER??

I have to assume you're not a Lakers fan or this is a joke.
It's a broken tibia
capone : 10/29/2014 3:02 am : link
Per espn
Feel awful for Randle
David in LA : 10/29/2014 3:03 am : link
thought he showed some nice flashes tonight. Hope he comes back strong next season.
broken tibia
RasputinPrime : 10/29/2014 3:13 am : link
is better than a torn achilles. Silver lining i guess.

No one is asking for sympathy. Lakers' fans least of all.
...
SanFranGiantsFan : 10/29/2014 6:13 am : link
That sucks for Randle. I think he's going to be a good pro, but it's going to take some time now.

However, I love the Lakers sucking.
Yes, everyone
Jon in NYC : 10/29/2014 6:23 am : link
pity the Laker, Yankee, Giant, Michigan fan.
Suck for Randle...
Italianju : 10/29/2014 6:41 am : link
he should come back fine at least, def better then a torn achilles.

As for "the lakers are cursed" give me a freaking break.
Lakers are cursed?
PaulBlakeTSU : 10/29/2014 7:48 am : link
Get that shit out of here. Posting that anywhere is ludicrous. Posting it on a sports site populated predominantly to Knicks fans is intentionally annoying, as I could not believe anyone would write that out of sheer idiocy.
Basketball reasons.

Good...
rptl530 : 10/29/2014 8:12 am : link
I hate the friggin' Lakers and their front-running fans.
Jeremy Lin is the smartest guy on the planet
Giants11 : 10/29/2014 8:45 am : link
he took 1 month of great basketball and turned it into every last nickel he could. Good for him. Never thought I'd say it but thank god the Knicks let him walk.
Cursed? LOL. They were going to suck this year,
Section331 : 10/29/2014 8:47 am : link
with or without Randle. I feel bad for the kid, but he'll come back fine. In the long run, this is better for LA. They weren't making the playoffs with this roster, might as well tank and get a good draft pick.

And anyone thinking that NBA fans are going to feel sorry for the Lakers is truly delusional. Try being a Nets fan.
Randle had bone issues in high school/college
Stan from LA : 10/29/2014 12:29 pm : link
So this is not surprising. But the way the Lakers raved about him when he was drafted was nauseating(the guy we wanted, best guy in the draft) you would think he was the second coming of Magic Johnson. He was out of shape coming into camp, did not work hard and still can 't shoot. Not a good combination.
A Yankees lakers fan?
djm : 10/29/2014 12:32 pm : link
That's adorable.
he was projected as a more athletic Zach Randolph
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 10/29/2014 12:36 pm : link
no reason he still can't reach that potential. But this is definitely a shitty injury. First game of your career and you break a leg.
Braves Lakers fans are way cuter.
GiantFilthy : 10/29/2014 12:39 pm : link
Anywho, Stan is this your first time hearing PR from a sports team?
