What more evidence does the fan base need that Mets ownership simply isn't committed to winning? They wouldn't even talk to a big time manager like Joe Maddon. Terry Collins doesn't inspire confidence, competence or excitement. The Wilpon's could have opened up their check book and excited a fan base. Instead, the losing and absolute boredom that is the New York Mets will continue.

Actually, the Mets have some very promising young talent coming up

and Alderson is doing a good job stocking them with prospects.

But 2015 needs to be the year that young talent starts to translate to wins, or TC will be gone.

Much rather would have had Maddon than Collins..

But at the end of the day, the team on the field is going to dictate the W's and L's much, much more than the manager.

We'll either be a good team and take the next step or we'll continue to be mediocre. This is a big offseason for Sandy & Co.
