Sports Bars in Saint Paul, MN

Bchurch : 10/29/2014 6:40 pm
I will be flying into Saint Paul for work and arriving a few hours before the Giants/Seahawks game in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone had advice on a good sports bar. Giants bar would be great but in general a place where I can grab a beer and enjoy the game is what i'm looking for.

Thanks in advance!

I have been in the area for 2 years and have not found much except for the chains (Buff Hot Wings, Chicky and Petes...) Since you are in Egan, you may want to check out what they have in the mall.

While you are here, don't bother looking for pizza, Chinese food, seafood, subs, Italian sausage, hard rolls, porkroll, devil dogs....Even if you can find it, it is not worth eating
I'm not in Saint Paul... but, you can always try

Staying in Eagen your closer to the Minneapolis suburbs. Mall of America is a good recommendation like Damdevs stated. Also there is a Fridays right outside of it on the southern side.

O'Donovans Irish Pub in downtown is the only Giants bar in Minneapolis. Their address: 700 1st Ave. N
if you have a car

Joe Sensers in Bloomington is a decent sports bar. There used to be one right in Eagan, but it's closed (long story). They typically have every game on at least 1 TV.

It's 10 min south of Eagan, but Crooked Pint Ale House has good beer/food. I haven't been there for any games though, so I don't know what the atmosphere is like, especially on a Monday night. Also it's in the suburbs, so probably not as crowded, raucous as a St Paul/Minneapolis bar (could be good or bad).

if you head to the Giants bar in downtown

Minneapolis, I'd recommend parking at the MOA or a park-n-ride and taking the Lightrail. Way easier then trying to find your way around and dealing with parking.
