They have no big man in the middle. No defense again, We finally have a center to work with and we trade him off. That is history now, however they need to make provisions to stack up the bangers in the middle again. Delembert is not the answer. Knicks need to find defenders.
You can drive through the triangle defense and not pay the price of having your shot blocked or get fouled hard. Teams takes on the spirit of the coach. I can't wait to see what the coaches true competitive attitude is. The new coaches have won in the league but, this is East Coast basketball. Physical defensive efforts. It may take a while for the new coach to see how tough the opposing coaches and the media can make it, If the Knicks are soft on defense.
it seems like just yesterday they were making moves for LeBron. They will never do anything with these owners.

We just got a new President last year... how can you state that we will NEVER do anything with these owners when we JUST started a major re-building and shift in complete philosophy?

by last year, I mean this year... and complete shift* in philopsophy
derrrr
Phil can't do this overnight. It's going to take a little time to clean up the mess and get the right guys for the system and have the guys all be comfortable in it. This isn't really the time to be outraged.
First game in a difficult new system and playing a far more talented team. Shocker, they got hammered.
Which is why its so easy to drive through

And it seems clear that Larkin won't be picked up, probably for good reason based upon early returns. 8 points, 10 rebounds 2 steals against San Antonio in a near-win (1 pt.). Similar play in the pre-season. So it's a possibly revived Chandler for Dalembert, Calderon and Early. And the Greek wonder who may be a player some day.
Still seems decent, unless Chandler shocks everyone by having a complete season. Dalembert has to have more to show than so far, I think.
That being the Bulls, where he joins Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and coach Tom Thibodeau.
“Overall, I feel it’s a much more balanced team, with better weapons overall,” said Pau, a four-time All-Star. “I fit in better and it’s a team that’s automatically a contender.”
Another factor working against the Knicks, Pau said, was their limited finances because of the salary cap. Pau signed a three-year, $22 million contract with Chicago. The Knicks could offer him just a fraction of that amount.
“I took a pretty significant pay cut already, so that would’ve been a humongous pay cut for me to be in this city,” he said.
