NFT: Business Slow Seasons

When is it for your company and why?

I employ high and low voltage technicians throughout the country and mine starts right about now and will go through January do to the a handful of reasons:

A) Schools are open
B) Weather is getting cold
C) Holiday Season is around the corner which puts a holt on most of the major projects people in my industry can do
D) Companies are at the end of their budgets for the year, and are waiting for new #'s to come out

and with any digital business, Q4 is absolutely insane. Slow times for us are Q1 and Q3.

Slow season is late Fall - early Spring in the USA

We do consulting work for ins co's regarding severe storm estimating/job sites. Mainly Wind/Hail/Flood damage on vehicles.

We do a bunch of work in Australia also, so if they have a bad stormy season it makes up for our slow time due to the reverse seasons down under.

Slow periods, at least in Midtown Manhattan are the end of June, July and August when school's out and not much is going on in the Garden and then again in January and February as accounts run through all the inventory they stocked up on in December

Q4 Insane

Q1 slightly insane with the carryover from Q4

Q2 steady

Q3 dead until the end when Govt buying season explodes

August and the last week of the year used to be consistently dead. Not true anymore, especially with regard to August. I dont have a reliably dead period, which makes sense since my schedule are dictated by the Court and not a client's budget.
