Colorado did their homework. They know where our passes are going before we do.
Sorry guys
timintey : 10/30/2014 10:48 pm : link
I came up small tonight. This sucks. Started showing life toward the end of the first. JT hitting the crossbar could've been a game changer
There is no improvment

out on the PP. Nothing established.
I think our severe lack of size is going to kill us.
BlueHurricane : 10/30/2014 11:42 pm : link
Hopefully this team is not going to maddeningly inconsistent this year. Win four lose two, win two lose three blah blah blah.

I would love for us to bring Peter L back.
How 'bout that Kreider guy, huh?

the Jets and Avs when we have the California trio coming up. The effort simply needs to be better. We can't blame this one on the goaltender tonight, even if he didn't play well.
Oh look..........

RANGER TROLL
They were dominated in every facet
Dave M : 10/31/2014 9:45 am : link
Just pushed around out there. Colorado was faster, stronger, smarter. It was just an ugly effort. By far, the worst game they've played this season. Roy got the match ups he wanted all game. Jack just kept putting L4 out there during stoppages. De haan has been awfulb lately and may need a night off. He can't play with Strait. He's not good enough to play with such a terrible hockey player. The next step of de_wanging this team is to get rid of the mickey mouse coach.
Simple Jack strikes again!

Varlamov played good too
Dave M : 10/31/2014 11:04 am : link
But most of those shots were point shots with no interference in front. Varlamov was so impressive I'd rank him 4th in the league just ahead of lundqvist. If only we had Kreider to injure him we may have had a shot.

Yup, #adonis'd

Who's the lead dog between the pipes at the mausoleum these days? A trash can might be able to stop more pucks than LOLak and #85.
We will always have this to keep us warm and fuzzy

Nice deep booger pick in the background too. Hahahaha

Very Jets-ian.. feeling warm and fuzzy about a regular season win in October or being in "first place" 3 games into the season.

Cuuuuuuute :)

You can still see his whole finger. That's a snot rocket, not a booger pick. Leave it to a fishstick fan to not know the difference.
If he is not buried to the first knuckle

Sucks. I gave him support last year as there were many holes to fill. This year with talent brought in, same mistakes and lackadaisical efforts is showing. Its bad news. Its time to make the change. As that article says...why have ocho cinco play as much.
Need to beat the Sharks tomorrow night.

KWhite2250 : 10/31/2014 2:03 pm : link
Could be in our top 4 dmen. Sorry but viz, de haan and strait have been awful. They have 0 nasty in them. Smurf dmen all around and we wonder why we get outmuscled. The best part was last night on one play 2 a s fwds crashed thr net and were on top of Johnson and Strait and De Haan were trying to hold them up. Fucking give them a stick, start some shit. Every team knows the isles D isnt going to do anything to them in front
.
arcarsenal : 10/31/2014 2:09 pm : link
Kostka is awful. I'd give him to you guys for a bag of pucks.

we have one game in like 9 days
Greg from LI : 10/31/2014 2:48 pm : link
We're bored
Strait may as well sit down at center ice when its time for his shift
BlueHurricane : 10/31/2014 2:49 pm : link
He would do a much better job just sitting there and yelling at the opposing team as they skate by then he does actually trying to play defense. Plus he would have no chance of screening his goalie or kicking a puck into his own net.
.
arcarsenal : 10/31/2014 2:50 pm : link
If it makes you feel better, I was born right at the close of the Icelander dynasty so basically they have sucked complete ass for my entire life as a hockey fan and was never able to build up a complex towards them. :(

The Devils, on the other hand...

God, I fucking hate that team.
way back when....

I was just a young tyke in elementary school in Levittown in 1981-1984 (at which point we moved to Virginia), and I'm pretty sure I was the only kid at St. Bernard's who was a Ranger fan.
Holy shit to this Brian Strait stat from the article:
Mike in Long Beach : 10/31/2014 3:03 pm : link

One major reinforcement is on the way, and that’s Travis Hamonic. This is a welcome development, because the Islanders have given up 36 goals this season and Brian Strait’s been on the ice for 15 of them.

Keep in mind, Strait rarely plays the PK, so that stat likely translates to him being on the ice for like 15 of 28 regular strength goals or something like that. And his minutes are limited to begin with.

That's unreal.

Yep......... I can't wrap my head around the fact he is getting ice time. I think he went to the Tom Quinn school of private investigation and evidence gathering.
I realize
Metnut : 10/31/2014 3:14 pm : link
that de Haan hasn't been great, but he's probably still getting up to speed after a training camp injury and is too young to be asked to carry dead weight like Strait. Pairing him with Hamonic will be a big help.

I'm surprised Cappy hasn't given Donovan even a single game yet considering how bad Strait has been.
Take the 1st goal last night for example
Dave M : 10/31/2014 3:19 pm : link
Yes de Haan got beat by Duchesne but Duchesne beats many dmen. Strait doesn't even start to go in front (because he's too busy double teaming a guy on the boards) until the av player was receiving the pass. Also on Mackinnon's 2nd goal Strait wad late into the d zone and just gave a weak swipe at his stick and you know what happened. That's every night. He's a bum.
Great article
Fish : 10/31/2014 3:41 pm : link
which spews everything we have been saying during these last 2 games. Cappy will not have a job if they swoon here. 3 more losses and he is done. If articles are being written then you know.
looks like Conacher off top line
Dave M : 10/31/2014 5:44 pm : link
Nelsen practiced with L1. Hamonic skated with De haan.
I'll be rooting for you boys to go 1-1-1
