Wasn't for a lack of trying, the woods in NEPA are nearly impossible to search completely.
One thing I didn't understand is all of the sightings, there seemingly was one a week and I was always puzzled as to why nothing ever came from them, even the one where apparently law enforcement spotted him, yet didnt chase
a pretty notorious serial killer who was one of the inspirations for the Buffalo Bill character in Silence of the Lambs. Based on the crime and the subsequent terror he held an entire region in, I'm pretty sure Mr. Frein will break the dry spell. Unlike Heidnek, I doubt he waives his appeals and requests the sentence be carried out. This POS will exhaust his appeals and cost the state millions before he gets what he deserves.
Frein, who was on the FBI's most wanted list, surrendered without incident, police said, and two firearms were found in the hangar but Frein was carrying no weapons.
Looking at the pictures of him in the back of the Trooper Car, he may gotten a little lumped up, prior to surrendering. Glad to see they could get a couple of shots in...
(CNN) -- James Tully says he been stopped so many times by law enforcement on his way to work that he's stopped counting.
Apparently, he resembles fugitive Eric Frein, who is accused of fatally shooting a Pennsylvania state trooper and injuring another trooper in a September shootout.
The search for Frein has jolted the Canadensis area of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, leading to school closures, roadblocks and multiple police interactions for Tully, who walks 5 miles to work and back each day because he does not own a car.
"Because I'm walking and I'm carrying a book bag, and for some reason people seem to think I'm the one they're looking for," Tully told CNN affiliate WNEP. "I've lost count after 20 in total. The most on one round-trip stretch was about seven times."
He even started wearing his work ID around his neck for easy identification.
Thankfully he won't have to deal with this again. And he is also getting some help from the public to get him a car. Good on him. Link - ( New Window )

As long as the guy is deserving, it's a cool story, though from what I hear, he may not be.
only thing I know is from the article...he has two kids and walks to work everyday because he doesn't have a car.
In the embedded story from the local website, you can see him being questioned by a heavily armed police officer. Can't be fun to be stopped numerous times when you don't have any other options. Not blaming the police since they still have to do their due diligence.

Good thing he was white, he really would have been screwed!
but, he did have this planned didn't he - so he probably had food stashed? and he was found in a hanger - wonder if that had anything to do with weather getting colder.
think he is probably some type of sociopath who viewed it as kind of a game. wonder how much fun it is to him now?

Which airport? I assume a small private one in poconos or a closed down one?
Waiting for 7 oclock for local news to come back on to get more details.

I think Mt. Pocono. WBRE said that that location was on their list to comb over, but didn't get a chance until today.
Fucker probably saw the Buck Hill Inn, shit his pants an ran to the hanger.
Yes it is, though if I remember correctly they haven't put anyone to death since the 90s.
A guy from my city has been for nearly 30 years, George Banks. But mental capability has prevented it from happening.
Yes there are inmates on death row, no one has been executed in 15 years. 90% of death penalty convictions have been overturned I think

Banks would have been if found competent.
Very fitting...

They also used the deceased trooper's cruiser to haul him away...
Too bad. Now he's on the PA taxpayers dime for rest of his miserable life. POS.

The guy did last 48 days. I dismissed it at first too, but 48 freaking days is a long time...
