loses this game and ND runs the table I'm very interested to see if they would put an 11-1 ND over FSU. They have TCU ahead of Baylor right now and Oregon ahead of Arizona, so they can't just blindly put them ahead because of head to head. ND would likely finish with more quality wins if that were to happen

I think they would like to drop FSU because of the Winston issues.
Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long is also the chairman of the playoff committee and he was a guest on "The Dan Patrick Show" when he was asked about Notre Dame's ranking. Long explained that the loss was impressive but it was still a loss. But more importantly, Long noted that Notre Dame doesn't have any impressive wins.
"I think if you look at Notre Dame's resume at this point, they have a very close loss against Florida State on the road and it is a loss," Long told Dan Patrick. "But the rest of the body of their work against the teams they have played has not impressed the committee as much as the teams that are ahead of Notre Dame."
In fact, the committee was so unimpressed with Notre Dame's six wins, all at home and none against teams currently in the top-25, Long suggested that the Irish would have been much lower in the rankings if not for their "good loss" to Florida State.
"Then you look at the rest of the body of [Notre Dame's] work, I would tell you [the loss to Florida State] did help them."
I have with that is Michigan State's resume is no better. Nebraska sucks. Look no further than being tied 24-24 late in the 4th quarter against an FCS team at home. Nebraska is only ranked because of their pathetic schedule, they don't pass the eye test, they don't pass any test. If you are tied late in the 4th against an FCS team you're garbage
is a good football team, and the Thursday night games have always been tricky spots for the road team. DeVante Parker finally playing is huge for them, they may be undefeated if he played all year, 1 loss at worst.
I think this helps ND. Gives them another chance at a quality win.
fan, I dont get caught up in the rankings. Its all point of view. People will boost ND's schedule because Louisville is good. Others will point NDs schedule isnt as good because FSU is getting whalloped.
Every year there is a clusterfuck around this time, and usually by the end of the year, its pretty much cleared up. If ND wins out, Ill be shocked if they arent included. Yeah there are some teams who can fuck it up for them, but I dont think there are a lot of dominant teams in college this year and a lot of teams in the top 10 will have at least 2 if not 3 losses by the end of the regular season.
Watch Louisville S Gerod Holliman. Absolutely sick S
you go for the points there. didn't work out, but no problem with the decision.
lol

Would be like saying Oregon is out of the discussion because Arizona lost (at home) to USC.
Stanford is a bad football team I guess? Their losses are to AZ State, ND, and USC.
I bet you think Nebraska is a good football team, don't you?
Me too or is that NFL only?
Quote:
you were not allowed to fumble the ball forward at the end of each half and advance it
Me too or is that NFL only?
maybe it's NFL only. Either that or rules like that don't apply to FSU
I think it's pretty clear that his right calf was on the ground. They screw up replays routinely though, so nothing would be a surprise
