Surprisingly not behind a subscriber wall. A lot of surprises on there, but for the most part they're good surprises, the sort that suggest that real progress is being made and that BA and others are taking note.

Supposed prospect gurus have always crapped on Austin. I really want him to succeed just to shove it in their faces, just like Cano did to Dave Cameron a decade ago.
It's somewhat TBD. Hopefully most of his lack of production (especially power wise) was due to some injuries. He started hitting much better in the 2nd half last year. But he's also a guy that many felt was playing over his head and lacked the "tools" to be an everyday RF.
Austin was getting some love and then had the wrist injury. His power potential was a point on which people disagreed and it isn't clear that his power has really emerged (though it could have been limited by the wrist). He had a strong 2nd half and has looked good in Instructs but until he does it consistently he will have doubters. He is a corner IF/OF so the bat will have to really shine for him to get that sort of attention.
Torrens finished the year at SI (he had a cup of coffee in Charleston before the short season started but got hurt and then just stayed on his "rehab" assignment) so while he is a very good all-around prospect let's see him do it at A-Ball before we declare Sanchez "passed" as a prospect.
I wonder if Jagielo's HBP injury was taken into account. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.

While he didn't work out as a SP, Betances sure didn't look overhyped last season.
Pretty hard to overhype 10 players when most scouts concur.

but I'm surprised Jagielo couldn't crack this list. I think it says that the farm system has improved. He certainly had a decent enough year to crack it in previous years.

He spoke relatively highly of Jagielo, he just didn't make the Top 10. That is pretty reasonable.
Bogaerts had similar hype and while he is still adjusting to the major league game his progress in the minors certainly seemed to validate that.
I do not see Bogaerts staying there unless the Sox leave him there out of stubbornness. And his value as a corner IFer or OFer is far less than as a SS.
Just saw that too Bird has a nice swing and power. Hope he gets a look in ST.
If you guys know who that is, please don't say as he's no longer in the same position he was before=).
They oughta spend a shitload on this kid.
