I believe we are really going see how much faster they play. Just don't like the matchup. Probably too much either early or toward mid second half before they separate.
Hope nobody is drinking the koolaid. This game shouldn't be close. Niners can't afford to lose at this point. This is when good teams oul away from the pack. The Giants will get run over again this weekend. 3-7, here we come.
see boldin and davis running wild through our secondary, each having around 8 catches each for over 100 yards, including multiple wide open 3rd down catches.
Their defense maybe just a few inches in reverse. And, even though not as formidable as previous years - they are holding teams to about 90 rushing yards per game. And, Giants are one of worst rushing teams in the league.
If the Giants play well and even pull out a victory I think they can go a bit of a run with the remaining schedule.
Now by run I mean string some W's together and get some positive momentum moving into next year.
I think with Jennings coming back and Eli being able to work with the same receiving corps consistently the offense will continue to improve and will light up some of the weaker teams on the schedule.
The true concern is special teams, always awaiting the next fuck up, and of course ,the defense.
If this season collapses into a 4 - 12 collapse, it will be the fault of the defense. If they get smacked in the mouth tomorrow and fold like a cheap suit it could be a long rest of the season.
If the D can man up and at least perform at a respectable level the Giants will likely finish around 8 wins, which would match the regular season performance of the past three seasons.
To me this is the game that will set the course of how the rest of the season plays out. I hope they perform well because a total collapse will likely cost TC his job and that would be a real shame.
"Fun to watch" if you like train wrecks, firing squads, genocidal massacres etc.
I don't see us shoring up our run defense all that much.
I also think SF has a real defense and our OL won't be able to run.
Only way the Giants win is if SF comes in flat, turns it over, and Donnell and Beckham dominate the red zone with TD's off turnovers.
49ers have taken a step back, although the physical nature of 49ers is a bit of a concern.
Think Wilson plays smarter than Kaepernick
This will be a good challenge for McAdoo.
