So what did we all think of OBJ losing it at the end?

Josh in the City : 11/17/2014 10:46 am
When Eli missed him on that last offensive play for the turnover on down, OBJ took off his helmet and lost his shit. From the perspective of a fan, I actually liked seeing that kind of emotion and passion (even if it was frustrated passion) from one of our players finally. One of our only players who seems to go all out and give it his all...and from a rookie it's impressive. Complete opposite personality of Randle IMO. Haven't seen it discussed here and curious what everyone else thought.

I thought he was hurt. I was just relieved that he wasn't.
thats what

we need around here. good players who give a sh#t
He cares. And he's not a dick. He doesn't show off or
Victor in CT : 11/17/2014 10:48 am : link
act proud of himself for plays that he should make. They need more guys who hate losing.
Totally fine with it, glad he cares.
DigitaLx2001 : 11/17/2014 10:48 am : link
As long as it doesn't lead to penalties. I think we could use a firey emotional leader on offense. Certainly isn't going to be Eli, and we haven't had it since Jacobs in his prime I don't think.
So he's not hurt. That's all I care about.
Ten Ton Hammer : 11/17/2014 10:49 am : link
Unless he's furious because he's hurt.
we'll looks
TommyWiseau : 11/17/2014 10:49 am : link
Like we drafted a player who actually cares about winning and not just a pagcheck.
When I saw his helmet fly off

I first thought he was in a fight.

then I was relieved that he wasn't and didn't care about his reaction at all.
its
area junc : 11/17/2014 10:50 am : link
a shock when these rookies lose: most of them aren't used to losing football games. OBj played at LSU, and i doubt he lost many games in high school

Seems he
TMS : 11/17/2014 10:51 am : link
is very tough on himself. Many great players are the same. Not a bad thing and he looks like a great player in the making. A silver lining amid the gloom.
on a sucky team , he shows passion for dropping the pass
GMAN4LIFE : 11/17/2014 10:51 am : link
fuck the rest
Passion is what is needed!
GMENGianni : 11/17/2014 10:52 am : link
Look at Dez Bryant. We hate him because he's a Cowboy, but the dude plays with a ton of passion and he's a fucking beast.
and at least he wasnt taking a shit at the half

BTW I also
Josh in the City : 11/17/2014 10:52 am : link
heard that OBJ gave the pregame speech to the team before yesterday's game. Extremely impressive for a rookie.
I have to say that...
RC02XX : 11/17/2014 10:53 am : link
OBJ is becoming fan favorite for obvious reasons...and this just adds to it.

I still remember when people were talking about him possibly being a bust even before he played his first game...good times good time...
Not sure why anyone would have a problem with it.
kmed : 11/17/2014 10:53 am : link
Most probably love the intensity and how pissed he was. As long as he's not showing up a teammate, get pissed kid. I wish other people felt the same way.
I didn't think twice
Randy in CT : 11/17/2014 10:54 am : link
about him being frustrated.
he plays with passion,
GiantFanInTX : 11/17/2014 10:55 am : link
and how can you not love it? However, just because a guy isn't smashing his helmet doesn't mean he doesn't care.
OBJ
mrvax : 11/17/2014 10:58 am : link
is going to be a great Giant.
If the other guys
silverfox : 11/17/2014 11:00 am : link
...had 1/10 his passion for wanting to win, we'd be unstoppable.
He is very likley not used to loosing very much
Chef : 11/17/2014 11:02 am : link

Id rather everyone else had

1/10th of his talent.

No we wouldn't be.

OBJ is extraordinarily talented. Most of the guys on this team are not.

I love his passion and wish more guys had it but it wouldn't change the fact that the talent on this team is sub-par.
I'm with you guys
mfsd : 11/17/2014 11:03 am : link
i was happy to see one of our guys that pissed off about losing
Well at this point its a new experience for him
j_rud : 11/17/2014 11:05 am : link
He's lost more games this season than he has the last 4 years. That's gotta suck.
A

'Peter Finch moment'.
About time it came from a young player and not 'Trel in the media.
No teammate bus tossing.
And I agree with that not used to losing comment.
If we can replace Randle with another OBJ
Ace718 : 11/17/2014 11:06 am : link
Eli will be set for the next 5 years. Randle is an INT waiting to happen.
It was awesome.

Love the kid's fire.
Can we clone him

and put about 100 lbs. each on 5 of those clones and build a rapid, fiery OL?

seems to think Beckham was injured on that last play

4th and 6 at NYG 19 (:35) (No Huddle, Shotgun) E.Manning pass incomplete deep middle to O.Beckham (A.Bethea). NYG-O.Beckham was injured during the play.

I knew he wasn't hurt. He was
section125 : 11/17/2014 11:40 am : link
pissed he missed that pass. He has not yet shown the speed - still a bit slowed by the hammy. Can't wait to see when that gets rectified.
Hope like hell Cruz heals well.
I'm glad he's passionate,
Curtis in VA : 11/17/2014 11:42 am : link
I just hope the other "veteran" players who aren't anymore don't end up sucking it out of him.
not the finest display of catching. if you look close, he tips it
Ten Ton Hammer : 11/17/2014 11:43 am : link
to himself. Just a ridiculous pro play.

Look at the leap, too. Not vertical, he's going side to side.

He tips it to himself.

So does Randle...

WHAT!!??! Did you see him run down and make the tackle after one of Eli's picks? Fastest guy on the field by a wide margin.
Been following the Giants for over 35 years
stompuout : 11/17/2014 2:07 pm : link
and this kid is easily the best offensive player I've seen with this team. Never owned a Giant jersey until I picked up his after debut in the Falcon game and with that being said, have not experience a Giant win with his #13.

Beckham is a fiery, dynamic, emotional leader of this offense. This is something that has been missed ever since Shockey departed. I think its great for the team. Obviously, I was one who thought Shockey never should have been traded, and I think Beckham is a guy who brings the same emotional spark to this team that Shockey brought.
