TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Officers shot and killed a suspected gunman after a shooting at Florida State University early Thursday that wounded three others and prompted an alert for students to take shelter, police said.
The shooting happened at a library on campus and officers opened fire after the suspect shot at them, Tallahassee Police spokesman Dave Northway said.
It was not immediately known if the wounded were shot by the suspected gunman.
Northway said authorities did not believe there were any other threats related to the incident. The lockdown was later lifted and the school said on its verified Twitter account that the area was secure.

Some people talk about mental health, but it becomes nothing more than a talking point for people to sound good on TV.
Instead we focus on what's really important in life, like what celebrity just had nude photos leaked.
The ads feature "inspirational" quotes about might making right, and what are in reality disturbingly graphic images of soldiers draped in ammunition, wielding assault rifles and aiming at off-screen targets.

Children today cannot locate neither Vietnam nor Iraq on a map. However, there is no question that they were raised to be numb to gun violence.
But everybody loses their shit over a "realistic" sex scene in GTA. As Americans, our society has conditioned us to be scandalized by the female body and human sexuality, but mostly accepting of violence, especially Hollywood-style gun violence, which of course in no way reflects the behavior of responsible gun owners, and the reality of owning a gun like a mature adult.
If you have not seen the doc "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" I highly recommend it. I believe it's available on Netflix, and does a great job of challenging images and ideas that we take for granted as obscene or normal.

You proved your own point because you think it is ok to put into a video game about stealing cars realistic sex scenes, but geez you know we are all numb to gun violence.

I didn't know this at the time, but the Shooter targeted me first. The shot I heard behind me I did not feel, nor did it hit me at all. He was about 5 feet from me, but he hit my books. Books one minute earlier I had checked out of the library, books that should not have stopped the bullet. But they did. I learned this about 3 hours after it happened, I never thought to check my bag. I assumed I wasn't a target, I assumed I was fine. The truth is I was almost killed tonight and God intervened.

I'd say Oxford University Press intervened.
