Said it should have been goalie interference after all.
Still bothers me. Anyway, sorry if someone posted this, but I did not see it and I thought my fellow Rangers fans would be equally angry that the NHL blew such an obvious goalie interference.
35 hit like a ton of bricks, that's when your body starts to break down and stuff you could do easily as a youngster now isn't as easy and you have a longer recovery time.

wait til you hit 50. Prediction: Paaaaiiiin.
Everything hurts after a day of yard work. Recovery time much longer
When pro athletes my age started being called "grizzled veterans". It gets harder to ignore when, as is the case now, there are only a handful of players your age or older.

Ahmad Bradshaw was a turning point for me. He went from a young tough RB to an old man with nothing left (according to some)... all the while younger than me, lol
I cling to Jagr and almost hope the Devils make a little noise in the playoffs as a last ditch effort to save some of my youth. Well, I'm not really rooting for them, but when I first started watching sports in 1993 at 7-8 years old, Jagr was an athlete I was aware of. There weren't many. Just the superstars in each league. Him and Lemieux were two of maybe 6 or 7 non-Islanders I was aware of.
So the reason I would sorta like it if the Devils somehow got to the Eastern Conference finals is, with my birthday in early May, that would mean there'd be an athlete who was not only playing, but exceling when I first started watching sports at 7 years old, and that athlete would still playing after my 30th birthday.
we got was the "snow fort" in game 4. And even with that they still needed OT to get 3 of their 4 wins. A little puck luck and we win or we're potentially looking at an epic 7 game series.
I remember getting a Jagr rookie card in 1991 when I was in 10th grade
was on a line at UVM with a high school teammate of mine.
He's significantly younger than Jagr and his NHL career began much later, but I think he's my last "link" to the league through 6 degrees of separation from pjcas18.
Any Wolfpack followers (from like 95 - 2003) might know the name Todd Hall, he was on that high school team too, but he never made it beyond the wolf pack.
And that's me - i had a lot more game than Brett ever has to begin with. Can only imagine how long the intervals are between when Brett gets laid.
I'll get married when I'm 35 and I start to break down and need someone to do shit for me.
Also, you guys are fucking old.

Of course, I didn't start playing until I was 19, but still.
Oh, and fuck the NHL
