I was pulling into the parking garage when they teased a discussion on whether Coughlin and Eli are let go at the end of the season. Couldn't stay on to hear the segment.
Did anyone hear the discussion, and what were the perspectives?
Greenberg is out this week left so we're left with the moron that is
talking about the Giants? When it comes to the Giants, there is no love from Mike Golic......he has two passions.....the Eagles and Notre Dame.....and doughnuts....so make that three....
Eli will stay because of his contract and the money the team has invested in him. Further made the point that if Eli were to go, who would the Giants replace him with? Finally, they recognized that Eli was having a good year with 17 td's and 6 ints going into last weeks game. Did not comment too much on TC, only saying that usually the coach goes and the player stays because of economics. Cheaper to get rid of the coach than player (stupid because this is not a player vs. coach issue). They clearly do not understand that Eli has only 1 year remaining on the contract and that this discussion is about a long term contract extension.
Eli being with Giants next season is about 99 per cent certain and not worthy of discussion.
