In his rush to get an article out, Feinsand did not look carefully at the NYY 40 man roster on their official website. The official website did not add Williams to their roster (which is interesting, since several reports say they did).
So, assuming that the Yanks DID add Williams, then there are 39, not 38 on the roster.
they'll sign at least one, maybe two starters for the infield. The market has been slow to develop, once Panda goes it will set Headley's market. And the Alexei Ramirez trade, when it happens, will likely prompt Lowrie and maybe Drew to sign.
