My rooting philosophy has always been "the season isn't over until the 8th loss." So, this could be the last game to care about. I think they are going to win. No logical reason why.
spot or not, you always root for the team. Just have to look at different aspects like watching a young OBJ grow and excel. Maybe seeing Donnell get better. Hankins getting more and more pass rush.... etc
Sure, the team isn't going to make the playoffs (barring really unusual circumstances), but to simply stop caring about what happens? What's the point of being fan then?
At the beginning of the season the Giants would make the playoffs you are foolish. I hoped they would, but am not as delusional as Skins fans. This team was 8-8 at best before the injuries this year. You root for the Giants every game and should always care. This is a rebuild year and next year is too, so prepare now not to care in 2015.
More important than a better draft pick is seeing young players develop and maybe the offensive line gelling a bit.
Hopefully Weston richburg plays for most of the remainder of the season and develops. Him developing as a quality center could really pay dividends in the long run
you will remain one, no matter what happens the rest of the year....
Most of this board, knew what kind of team we had...we knew the illusion of a 7-9 team last year, was not really what their record showed....
This team was in rebuild mode....unfortunately it was a half-assed mode....this team did not want to face facts it was broken, and their attempt at plug and play did not work.....so all it did was post pone the hard decisions to be made for another year....
I hoped we would see progress, but with all the injuries, it's been hard.....
This is our last big game of the year......if we lose it, maybe the process of evaluating guys, who may have a future on this team, will begin....
Reality should have already tempered any hopes for even an 8-8 season. We have lost Beason, Cruz, Thurmond, Cooper, Amukamara, Wilson, McBride and Jernigan for at least this season. All of these players were expected to be key contributors to the team this year. This level of injuries to players expected to contribute would be devastating to any team. There isn't a single coach safe on this staff and I expect them to do everything possible to win as many of the 6 games remaining as possible. That precludes the coaches from adopting the best plan, to play the unknown commodities/players, see exactly what talent is buried on the roster including the practice squad, although pickings are thin on the latter. That would provide ammunition in the off-season to pick-up UFA's and present a clear prioritization of Draft needs. My opinion is like a butthole, everyone has one! IMHO.

since 2012 mid season. The lack of quality draft picks has doomed us.
