NFT: New York Rangers vs. Montreal Canadiens, 7:00 start

arcarsenal : 11/23/2014 11:53 am
I know this will overlap with our Giants a bit tonight but it's probably more important for the Rangers to win this game.

Fuck the fuckin diving cunts right in the pussy.

Hank in net. Duke should still be in the lineup.

Build on Wednesday night's game and get on a fucking roll here.

Yeah, Potvin Sucks is fucking brutal.

Absolutely brutal. It has to stop.
Anthony Duclair should never ever get set back to Jr's.

I believe the French translation for Desharnais is just that, greasy little bitch.
That's a nice period
bigbluehoya : 11/23/2014 7:51 pm : link
Neither team getting many great looks in front of the net.

Rangers surrendered a few spurts of possession, but managed to keep the puck out of the middle and didn't give up anything terribly dangerous.

Rangers doing nice work along the boards and behind the net on offense but not getting much in front.

This will be a tight game. Continue to minimize the mistakes, and stay out of the box.

Awesome game

Rangers took no prisoners and stuck it to the Habs. Maybe they were tired being on the back end of a back-to-back, but it still counts the same. Glad to see the Rangers play two good games in a row.

We need ROW wins any way we can get them.

Hopefully we can get six points over the next four games. Fuck the Flyers and fuck TB.

Duclair's setup to Hagelin was a thing of beauty
Greg from LI : 11/24/2014 8:50 am : link
I wish they'd a)stop sitting him b)stop playing him on the fourth line with Tanner Glass.
I actually thought the Glass/DMoore/Fast like played well last night.

Duclair has some serious fucking skill,
BrettNYG10 : 11/24/2014 8:54 am : link
And he's winning the little puck battles in the corner. His puck possession is really impressive.
My plan last night was to DVR Habs Rangers
pjcas18 : 11/24/2014 8:58 am : link
and to watch that to cheer myself up after what I was sure would be a Giants debacle.

Glad I forgot to DVR that shit show.

Sounds like a good win for the Rangers. The Habs have had three games like this - Chicago, Calgary and one other, and have rebounded nicely, so I'll hope for that here too.
We dont lose when MAB is there in attendance
MetsAreBack : 11/24/2014 9:27 am : link
unlike Arc who was an embarrassment at the Garden last week against Tampa, I produce out there. 5-0 curbstomping. You are welcome.

Good news is I'll be going to all the games around Christmas, as well as the game in Sunrise on new years eve.

As far as last night, quality win, we'll take it. But the building, and the Habs, looked emotionally dead. What a contrast to last spring's ECF. Hopefully we get more teams on the tail end of their back-to-back, against a division rival the night before, like that. We'll take the 2 points thank you very much PJ and Spock.
I might be going to the game in Sunrise NYE.

Gotta love the parades in November. I thought Hank just shutout the team that had the best record in the East a couple of nights ago but I must have been dreaming.

Rinne is def better, though. 25% of one season is all the evidence you need.

Speaking of 25%.. King Henrik has shutout his opponent in 25% of his starts this year (4/16)

I'm sure that 6-0 shootout record is sustainable

I didn't write it, guys.

Just enjoyed it.
And btw
Mike in Long Beach : 11/25/2014 12:29 pm : link
I won't even argue that I was tacking on Rinne and maybe another player or two erroneously just to prove a point and win an Interwebs battle. You were definitely right and I was definitely wrong.

But I think perhaps you might want to admit you overstated the gap between teh two a bit.

Forbes has released their valuations of the 30 NHL franchises and the average team's value has increased 18.6% over the last year.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are once again leading the charge with a valuation of $1.3 billion, but the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens are also worth over a billion dollars. The Florida Panthers finished at the bottom of the pack with a value of $190 million.
Greg 6-0
The 12th Man : 11/25/2014 12:40 pm : link
might not, but with Franz and KO doing what they are doing in shootouts their odds are better in winning than not.

6-0 in OT/SO.
unfortunately for Isles fans...

there is no shootout or hybrid (4-on-4) hockey come the postseason.

But I guess getting there first would be a tremendous achievement.... for you.

Congrats on your hot start - next time please beat Philly in regulation. Fuckin' cant even do that right.
Mike was referring to Greg's

reference of 6-0
So we went from Tomas Kaberle to Henrik Tallinder
