Honestly
Nick in LA : 11/23/2014 5:28 pm : link
the first time in a long while that I have a really good feeling going into the game. I think we win 31-21 OBJ with 2 scores and maybe 120 yards. I hate the Cowboys, my girlfriend is a Cowboys fan..... They cannot sweep us this year!
Once our season goes down the toilet,
Exit 172 : 11/23/2014 5:40 pm : link
especially when it looks like big changes are on the way, winning games feels more counterproductive to me than losing them.

But winning tonight can hurt the Cowboys. So let's win tonight.
I think the offense will be okay
Sammo284 : 11/23/2014 5:55 pm : link
Its the defense I worry about. If Romo feels good tonight, could be ugly on that side of the ball and we get into a shootout which we have no shot of winning unless we get turnovers.
I
AcidTest : 11/23/2014 6:03 pm : link
think Romo and his OL carve us up. We'll have to drop more back into coverage because we have no coverage LBs and are so beat up in the secondary. That will give Murray more room to run. Dallas wins easily.
.
PonderingObserver : 11/23/2014 6:03 pm : link
Let's win tonight
Let's hold on tight
Let's fight, fight, fight
With all our might
Do we SUCK or do we fight
Mara/Tisch get this right
Recognize SUCK when you see it
And fight, when it's before you
Do something about the SUCK
Else we're all out of luck
There are 3 games left in the season
chopperhatch : 11/23/2014 6:05 pm : link
Where i hope the Giants win. Tonight, Washington and Philly.

In reality though its actually better for them to lose out. That would at least guarantee MAJOR changes and good draft opportunities...which we'll fuck up.
Dallas sucks!
trueblueinpw : 11/23/2014 6:20 pm : link
Crush Blomo. Whale on Dez Cryant. Is this the game where Murray goes down for the season?

If we don't have the talent to win, we damn well better have the pride to fight until the very end.

Beat Dallas!
Tonight we get to see first hand
Dye Job : 11/23/2014 6:22 pm : link
the stupidity of Jerry Reese. Zack Martin will be playing long after OBJ is a distant memory. Think Hakeem Nicks but worse. To small and frail. He's good but will never survive the NFL. The empty suit had no right to draft a skill position when his QB and running game has no chance. Can we please get someone in charge that understands the game?

How the hell do you know that? How is he "to [sic] small and frail" when smaller, lighter guys have excelled as NFL wide receivers?
I still worried about the O-line
nicky43 : 11/23/2014 6:42 pm : link
Glad Brown is out of there but Schwartz hasn't played in a while and this is a new line combination plus we have our best Oline guy Pugh out.

I still think we win it cuz TC can out coach Jarret by a mile but it's still going to take a miricle and a few good bounces that this team is way overdue to receive.

are a good forewarning of why one should stay off the game thread.
still not sure why this game

Is on tonight NBC (yes i know ratings, but still)

Go Giants! Always!

been watching since 1960. Yes the game has changed immensely since then and can't compare. However remember to archive this post in 2016 when OBJ is done and Zack is pancaking our DL's twice a year.

Yeah, Blow Job.. because no undersized WR has ever succeeded in the NFL. OBJ looks like garbage.. can't play.

Big deal. I don't care how long you've been watching. You're taking a wild guess for whatever reason, based on nothing.

Beckham has shown star potential in his rookie season after missing all of training camp. If you think that makes Reese stupid for drafting him, you should probably retire from watching and commenting on football.

If Washington upsets SF ... not only would Giants be eliminated from NFC East race with loss tonight, but they'd be back in last place, too.
The NBC tease:
natefit : 11/23/2014 7:02 pm : link
Dallas could go all the way. Giants have an exciting new receiver. Pretty much says it all.

That OL is disgusting.

Great work, Jerry.
Best to turn and run away,
GiantsUA : 11/23/2014 7:14 pm : link
and live to fight another day!

Hold on, I mean win Giants.
That OL is a disaster on paper.
Riggies : 11/23/2014 7:17 pm : link
Almost certainly in reality, on the field, too unfortunately.
i hope Snyder doesn't pull a David Diehl.......
Simms11 : 11/23/2014 7:25 pm : link
as in Diehl's last few years! Eli could be running for his life again tonight. That is the makings of the most un-athletic line we've seen around these parts in quite some time!!!!

Brewer
AcidTest : 11/23/2014 7:31 pm : link
can't be worse than Jerry or Brown physically. He's actually looked decent at tackle. His not playing must be because Coughlin doesn't trust him to execute his assignments, which if true would be damning in his fourth year.

rdt288 : 11/23/2014 7:33 pm : link
This line may surprise some how effective it may be

Snyder has dozens of starts
Shwartz was the prize of free agent I-lineman

Let's give it a whirl
Fuck Jerry Reese
BlueHurricane : 11/23/2014 7:38 pm : link
For allowing the Oline to continue to be a disgrace of epic proportions in the prime of our QBs career.

Unbelievably stupid. Snyder will make late stage Diehl look like Larry Allen and Schwartz is not a tackle.
Looking at that graphic on the OL
Reb8thVA : 11/23/2014 7:41 pm : link
Just reminds me of the Giant teams of the 70s. Dreadful.
What the heck did Mosley do,
MOOPS : 11/23/2014 7:42 pm : link
take a dump on TC's drivers seat?
This should spur the Maras and the Tisches to take action:

That is a fucking disgrace. Between that, watching all these other teams today in a playoff race, and us playing our arch rival in prime time in late november with a record of 3 and fucking 7 has my blood boiling. Fuck this fucking shit.
Is that an Aaron Rodgers jersey?
Anakim : 11/23/2014 7:50 pm : link
?
Murray on pace to finish with just under 2,000 rushing yards
Giants4246 : 11/23/2014 7:51 pm : link
And we can't even average 4 yards a carry.

(and I'm not being facetious) that season ticket holders aren't taking too bad a hit for this shitshow. The one upside to filling the place with those shitheads is that people who paid for a season aren't losing too much money.
I like that
BigBlueCane : 11/23/2014 8:01 pm : link
people are now bashing Reese's draft picks and the disaster that is the offensive line.

But can't bring themselves to pass on another overrated WR because it wouldn't represent 'good value'.
No blame whatsoever on TC for the OL?
jcn56 : 11/23/2014 8:03 pm : link
You know, the one that his son-in-law played way too long on?
Hard to get excited for this
giantgiantfan : 11/23/2014 8:12 pm : link
but hopefully the Giants can't get me into it. Would like to see the Giants win 3 more games, tonight, Philly, and Washington. Tank the rest for draft position.
Look for Cowboys to go right after Schwartz's side
Jimmy Googs : 11/23/2014 8:15 pm : link
to determine if he is game ready.

Snyder, Walton, Jerry and Schwartz playing out of position and on the filed for the first time in months.

And you all thought Beatty was the weak link?

If any team was America's team it was
Reb8thVA : 11/23/2014 8:18 pm : link
The 1970s Raiders teams. Stabler, Caspar, Tatum, Atkinson, Sistrunk, Villipiano, Matuszak. The outlaw Raider teams were more America,'s team than the cry baby cowboys.

Eh cmon, we know he holds on to vets too long, but I doubt the son in law thing came into the picture. Diehl was kept one season too long as well. So was Pierce. So was Webster...we can do this all night sir.
welp..here we go Merica's Team at Merica's Stadium

3 and fucking 7. Meaningless game against Dallas on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Fuck.
Expecting a nostalgic night.
Reese's Pieces : 11/23/2014 8:28 pm : link
It's been a long time since Giants were humiliated on national TV by Dallas.

Reese, why did you get rid of almost all of the good players on the 2011 and 2012 teams and try to replace them with fourth round draft picks and bargain free agents signed to one year contracts.

If we had Joseph, Tuck, and Hill, do you think we would be last in run defense?
I must say, this is the least psyched for a game I've been in ages
Daniel in MI : 11/23/2014 8:31 pm : link
Most likely the team I loathe most embarasses us on national tv.

Option 2 is we show enough to get hopes up before screwing the pooch.

Or option 3, by some miracle we win, and just chip away our badly needed draft position to end up middling again.

Ugh. Can I at least see someone lay out Dez Bryant or Romo. Is that asking too much?
