Kiwi Please Retire

ImThatGuy : 11/24/2014 12:04 am
Seriously you are ruining whatever legacy you had as a Giant. I appreciate the rings, and for a few years you were very good but I think the game has passed you by.

I stopped hearing the announcers calling your name about 2-3 seasons ago but I gave you a pass. The goodwill has run out and I wish you success in future endeavors.

Maybe we can start the Kiwi #94 appreciation thread now?
why should he retire when the Giants coaches still view him as a

starter? Same thing happened with Diehl.

A little too much loyalty to the old guard with this regime.
Kiwi actually had a sack fumble tonight.

However, JPP needs to go to LDE and Moore and Ayers need to rotate at RDE. It's time. The coaches have to see it don't they?
I can't believe Ayers wasn't in there for him

Exactly. He's in the one place where he can start.
They made him take a straight pay cut this offseason and we're pretty

much seeing why he agreed to it: he's not a good football player at this point and there's not a big money market for those.

Hopefully he's gone next year, but I wouldn't bank on it.
Hes a great guy

please give him a job in the organization after this season.

Thanks for the memories, Kiwi

I can't believe he's making more money this season AFTER paycut than damn near this entire board combined. What a scrub and loser. He's stolen money for almost a decade now.
Fuck him, he's pulling a Nicks
SB : 11/24/2014 12:29 am : link
...he's bitter that the Giants asked him to take a paycut after his horrible season last year. Meanwhile he got $10 million guaranteed from his contract extension in 2012. And what other team would want him? He should be grateful the Giants want him at all. If he wasn't here he'd be out of work.

But no, he whines to the papers about how unfair a paycut is, and how hurt he is blah blah blah. Getting $10 million for doing jack shit the past 3 years. Poor Kiwi!
Osi went from being a starter to a relief role
yalebowl : 11/24/2014 12:37 am : link
Why can't the coaches see this? Osi went to being just a 3rd down player and nobody complained. Kiwi should have transition to this this year and Moore should be starting.
This is on the coaches
SMitch2 : 11/24/2014 12:37 am : link
I'm so sick of this -- the guy cannot play. He should not be getting any significant snaps, yet week after week Kiwi is in there hurting this defense -- not breeaking even -- flat out hurting us. It's like playing 10 on 11 with him in. The strip sack was total coverage BS that any halfway decent DE ought to make after being ridden halfway around the pocket. That last drive showed what he is.
maybe Moore
bc4life : 11/24/2014 12:39 am : link
would be a bigger problem?
Kiwi
rocco8112 : 11/24/2014 12:42 am : link
is not good. Really never has been a quality starter.

PLay anyone else the rest of the way to see what they can do.

I do not think he is pulling a Nicks. He is trying, he just sucks. He has really no track record of making plays. Ever. His biggest play to date was letting go of Vince Young in his rookie season.

nedhiggins : 11/24/2014 12:47 am : link
some of you guys are so bitter. Get a grip.
He's a pulling a Nicks as in he's just not a good player anymore.
Riggies : 11/24/2014 12:49 am : link
I don't really see the dog moments mixed in for him though, that Hakeem occasionally (not consistently, as his problems were clearly mostly tied to his being toast) had.

His play has been sliding since the neck injuries started. Remember, even back in 2011/2012, during the SB run and that 6 games of defensive glory that seem like a mirage now, he was a guy who saw his snaps cut back fairly significantly to zero detriment to the team.
He is JAG
rocco8112 : 11/24/2014 12:54 am : link
At best. He has been a Giant for a long time now and has made so few plays.

Adios after this year, thanks for the memories or lack thereof.
Honestly
kepler20 : 11/24/2014 1:34 am : link
diehl in his final years was still more productive than kiwi has been

That he saw snaps on that last drive at the expense of Moore and Ayers.
News flash

This guy was never good. And the season he showed signs of being good he landed on IR after a few games, I will never look at this guy as a Giant great. Never
