pass rush

hankb1126 : 11/24/2014 12:39 am
since we did not have any pass rush why didn't blitz more or at all in second half

They have proven consistently, that they can't blitz, They never devise a scheme to get guys through, then they get stuck in never never land, no help to the pash rush and out of place in coverage
I think...uh...fuck it...

its sickening
dancing blue bear : 11/24/2014 12:53 am : link
we can't blitz. it's an embaressment. we tried to blitz on the cole TD

what boggles my mind is why not AT LEAST rush the 4 NASCAR guys. or play Kennard at end and rush him. HOW THE FUCK IS KUHN AND KIWI on the field at that point.

I have disliked Fewel as the DC for a long time. I prayed he would be a HC so we could be rid of him. he has to go. i cannot stand this Defense. and it's not reactionary. Not onight. not this year. this has been a slow train coming. he's got to go.

Chalk that one up on the DC.. Plain and simple..

No excuses that was all Fewell.. I don't think any DC in the league would have done what he did tonight! Simple defense 101, if your front four cannot get to the QB, you must scheme to find another way to create more pressure?! Does anyone remember what Dallas & Romo did the last game the Giants played them at their house?? Fewell did the same thing and did not Bltiz Romo and dallas scored! How does he not learn?? He did the same thing??! how does that happen?? Especailly when your Dline is struggling?? If I were the Giants, he would be fired tomorrow hands down..
I can't stand Fewel

I think the D has more talent then how they play. esp early in the season before the injuries. they reflect the personality and philosophy of the DC
The refusal to play Damontre Moore on pass rushing downs
Phil in Joisey : 11/24/2014 1:18 am : link
is absurd. I blame Fewell and T.C.. It's a damn shame. The kid puts the pressure on, period. Next year they probably won't play him either saying he doesn't have enough experience.
Its simple...

This defense is incapable of executing blitz packages. Couple that with a Dallas all pro OL, and logic dictates that its best to keep your safeties and LBs covering somebody in hopes that the big play is avoided. Our problem is that logic never wears a blue uniform.

It's Fewell's version of the prevent defense. His wrinkle is you pray for a turnover because that's your only chance of it succeeding.
Mclain, Paysinger, Holsley, Demps.....

Who would you have blitzed?
Let me introduce you do this gentleman
jeff57 : 11/24/2014 7:25 am : link
Perry Fewell.

NO BLITZING ALLOWED.
Blitz
stretch234 : 11/24/2014 7:46 am : link
What does the defensive coaching staff practice during the week. What has changed with this defense since halfway through 2012.

They are a terrible blitz team, they still have communication issues on back end, they still lose contain on running plays, etc, etc

WTF do the defensive coaches do.
The fact they didn't even try to blitz on that last drive was pathetic
Giants4246 : 11/24/2014 7:56 am : link
Hell, i'm fucking surprised fewell didn't go with a 3 man rush and drop JPP and kiwanuka back in zone coverage. What a fucking disgrace to a once proud franchise.
And of course he had Kuhn in
jeff57 : 11/24/2014 8:07 am : link
Who I don't think has ever gotten a sack, and no Moore and no Ayers. Had Dallas paid him off, he couldn't have done a worse job of coaching.
If Rex Ryan wants to stay in New York

I would love to have him as our DC

As big of a buffonn as rex is and as certain as we all know the giants would never bring him here i think it's pretty safe to say that rex would not have been that conservative on that last drive, thats for damn sure.
I wouldn't mind going to a 3-4
jeff57 : 11/24/2014 8:27 am : link
But they don't have the personnel for it. Moore, JPP and Hankins could fit. But unless Jenkins discovers the fountain of youth, they'd probably need 4 new bodies.
