If all are healthy do you think Cruz could play on the outside with Beckum and Jernigan could play the slot? Reese made comments a year ago the Cruz could only play the slot but on the outside the cuts might not be as severe and less stress on the knee. It's a way to get them all on the field. Jernigan showed flashes a year ago. This team needs all the playmakers it can get dam it!!!!
And 82 may have great talent, but he has NO instincts and play structure.
The next Outside WR needs to also have the the ability to read a playbook and understand what the QB is going to do. Cruz and ODB have that already.
Randle's inability to run the right route is one of the biggest disappointments to me.
Cruz wouldn't scare anyone playing outside, he's much more effective in the middle of the field. It's a quickness v. speed thing, VC has plenty of the former, less of the latter.
Randle is a fine #3. If teams are forced to shade coverage over to OBJ and Cruz, RR can be really effective. Think of the 1st Cowboy game last year, when Nicks was healthy. Rob Ryan was shitting his pants every time the Giants put a 3-WR set on the field.
