McClain

Did anyone here see McClain on the touchdown pass to Beasley? Will someone please explain to me what he was doing? It appears to me that he is on a blitz and has a clean shot at Romo but he slowly jogs in and doesn't seem to want to get involved in the play.
I saw the same thing

Just as Banks has said, this team cannot blitz.

when you rewatch, you will see he had contain and JPP was supposed to twist to the inside. Problem was that JPP was manhandled by Tyron Smith.
McClain is a player

Not sure he's the fastest or most athletic player ever to man the position but I am constantly impressed by his hustle and passion.

If he wasn't coming full bore, it's because he wasn't supposed to. Football is a responsibility sport - especially on defense. You have to meet your responsibility first and trust that your teammates will meet theirs. Romo's stats are actually better outside the pocket than in, so I'm sure QB contain was built into every package.

is a savvy vet. Athletically limited. Kinda like Chase Blackburn.

I was screaming during the play. Apparently it was supposed to be a blitz, yet he just dawdled around and seemed to not be sure what he wanted to do.
Coverage was sh!t

I was yelling from my seat before the play that there was an free man. Saw that coming from a mile away.
Just a Backup..

at best. He should not be on the field as much as he is but the Giants have little else to throw out there. He hustles but is slow, just sits in a zone, and usually a step or two too late to the hole to meet the RB or lead blocker. He isnt an intimidator either. If you going to be on the slow side, please knock the snot out of whoever crosses your path. He doesnt produce many impact plays (sacks,FF, FR, INTs, PDs, TFLs). They need to upgrade the whole unit, which we all know. It would be nice to see 3+ sacks, 3-5 (FF +FR), 2-4 INTs from some LBers.
