Dallas Only Ran 53 Offensive Snaps...But....

Eric from BBI : Admin : 11/24/2014 11:18 am
Murray rushed for 121 yards on 24 carries.

And Romo surpassed his 135 QB rating game against the Giants in October (the game where he never threw an incomplete pass in the second half) with a 143.4 QB rating game.

53 snaps...but Dallas averaged almost 8 yards per snap.

Can't blame the problems on fatigue.
That is some MAJOR

SUCKING on our D!

We're like one piece away from where we want to be! Sarcasm /off.
The 77-yard TD drive
bceagle05 : 11/24/2014 11:24 am : link
that followed the incredible Beckham TD catch is what pissed me off the most. That catch gave the team and the fans (at least the few Giants fans who were there) more life than they've had in two years. If there was ever a time for the defense to stand tall and keep the momentum going, it was then. Like a pitcher putting up a zero after his offense gets him a three-run lead the previous inning. But, of course, the Cowboys march right down the field with absolutely no resistance. From there it was like the Beckham catch never even happened. I know we were toast at that point. The Eli pick was just the final nail.
Pewell should be fired today

...and that is a reasoned statement by me, not a knee jerk. If Giants brass (including Tom) cares at all, he needs to go. He is not getting it done, in humiliating fashion.
The really disgusting thing is...

you look at Romo last night, and he doesn't even seem 100%....like something is definitely off/not right. Surely the back.

And he still goes out and goes for a 140+ QB rating on us? WTF.......

....

Gonna take a while to fix this D. It starts with JPP. Someone is gonna make him a nice offer because he'd probably fit in nicely in a D with some pieces in place. That's not the Gmen.

JPP aside, who do you hang onto on this D? Cromartie, Prince, Hankins are some nice young players. It's time to see what exactly the Gmen have in some of the young guys. The sad thing is there isn't much behind anyone to get the extra looks. Moore, Bromley, Berhe, Washington, maybe Wynn..... am I missing anyone?

A sad state of affairs.
Romo could not move.

His sacks were because when he was running he could not turn and square his body.

Sickening that we could not convert those of even put him on the ground.
Was there any dought in anyone's

mind that Dallas wasn't going to score on their game winning drive?

are missing the truth and that is we don't have enough

good players. The Dallas O line was like running into a brick wall for

our D.
Remember last year when this happened to Herzlich?

Yeah, it happened again last night. I've seen enough.
At halftime

I said to my son, "The Giants are going to lose this game." They were up 21-10 at the time.

He said, "I know, dad."

Fewell is terrible and needs to go

But the other piece is revamping the roster. Both have to happen.

I thought the same thing last night.

I don't think that is knee jerk reaction at all. In fact, this isn't the first game after which I think that sentiment is appropriate. Personally, I wouldn't have even allowed him on the flight back to NY from Seattle.
To be honest
GiantFanInTX : 11/24/2014 12:22 pm : link
I don't think Romo was all that sharp. He missed some throws that he would normally make. With the protection he had all night, any of us could have thrown those balls. It was embarrassing and it shows you why football starts in the trenches. We have jack shit on both lines. The worst part about this is that this team is going to be terrible again NEXT year. There are too many holes to fill, and Eli's cap hit is massive.

It's really unfortunate that Eli threw that pick. He really had a nice game, but that was the catalyst in the downward spiral. You absolutely HAVE to make an accurate throw there. He's wide open and will most likely score. IT was a 14 point swing.
I turned it off in the middle of the 3rd, Giants leading 21-17

I knew they were toast.

The turning point of the game? TC time out with 3:39 to go in the first half. Dallas had a 3rd and 17. TC calls a timeout because he's thinks he needs to preserve the clock.

Up until that point, the Giants had played flawless offensive football, and the D was just good enough. That was as much as any of us could hope for.

So three minutes is more than enough to to add more points and pad the lead, but TC started dicking around. He didn't need to preserve clock, and it just made it seem as though he was micromanaging the team to a disaster.

Sure enough the O had their first stink-bomb drive including a penalty and a sack to wind up third and long. And TC calls another timeout! Dallas had over a minute of game time to work with when they got the ball back. They shouldn't have had any.

So it didn't result in points, but it allowed their D to get into our O-line's head, and it really wasn't the same after that.

TC can't handle games well at all.
You turned off the game while the Giants

were winning?

I mean I admit in recent years I have tuned out late when the game is out of reach but I do not think I have ever done it when the team was ahead.
they were only 4 of 10 on 3rd down,
Simms11 : 11/24/2014 3:52 pm : link
however, they were pretty successful on 1st and 2nd downs. That number is misleading.
