One of the best episodes in the history of the show for my money. Wow. This show has returned to form and you can argue it's exceeded it. Incredible television with incredible twists at every turn.
not for anyone to harp on - it is a small criticism, but was there really any doubt in anyone's mind that was close to exactly what you thought was going to happen? maybe not the specific details of how, but I think most of us sensed that from the beginning.
and personally I have a tiny issue with shows or plots like this or the Amerikans or 24 where they portray the US intelligence (or the enemy - whoever it is) as idiots.
I laughed when Saul said "that kid made his choice".

PJcas, that's also my one problem with the show Intelligence is portrayed as idiots. I hated that the Ambassador's husband went from sniveling idiot one week to this master spy the next!

I have no direct exposure to it, but I'm still 95% sure that the amount of idiocy, pettiness, laziness, incompetence, and inefficiency within the CIA would be disturbing. There isn't any human enterprise that's immune to them.
RE: I love how they didnt show a preview for next week
the ambassador's husband was never portrayed as the incompetent, sniveling idiot you think he was. He was the guy who'd been leaking intelligence from his wife's computer the whole time. Sure, they portrayed him as shell-shocked by his predicament and the task he'd been blackmailed into, but they never suggested he'd suck at that task.
but definitely spineless and weak, which is probably why he's a credible target, but he seems like the type to fold before following through on stuff like switching out carrie's meds nd no locked doors? I don't see him picking a lock or having the sack to go in and attempt that without someone in his ear alerting him of carrie's whereabouts.
Spoiler******
Let's not forget Quinn is back at the Ranch, so maybe it's his turn to be hero!!

Correction... a preview for the episode in *two* weeks! :(
it was kind of unrealistic.
Who could have survived that?
