Weekly "At Least We're Not the Redskins" Thread

BP in NJ : 11/24/2014 2:55 pm
Yes, we're 3-8, but I take heart in that we'd didn't trade 2 firsts and a 2nd for a guy who may be a part of one of the worst trades in draft history.

Yes, I'm deflecting, upset, pissed off, etc. 3-8 sucks. Searching for anything to keep above water.

Everyone has their way of coping, poking fun at Skins Nation happens to be mine.

...it takes the sting out of the fun of their debacle with us looking so bad! I used to love to listen to the airways after another Washington lose, but hayl we are right there with them.

at least you can say we are trending up

we have a lot of bright spots and really only need a few pieces to be competitive again and we have a QB that is a true professional with full support of the team and FO..

the team played hard lastnight... i don't know if you can say that about the skins...
Sorry, I had to stop after

The Redskins will, yet again, fail to finish with a winning record. This is the sixth time in the seven years since Joe Gibbs left that the Redskins will fail to finish with a winning record. In that span, 13 of the 16 NFC teams have had a winning record at least twice. The Lions have done it once, but need to go just 2-3 down the stretch to be at least 9-7 this season. That leaves the Redskins and the Rams.

Oh, and Anquan Boldin had this to say about getting yelled at by Jim Haslett on the sideline during the game:

Quote:
“It looked like Jim Haslett had some words for you on the sideline; what was that about?” a reporter asked Boldin during his press conference.

“I don’t know,” the receiver said. “A guy tried to hit me late on the sideline, and I pushed him off. [Haslett] had some words, for whatever reason. I don’t even give that a second thought. He don’t….he’s irrelevant.”

hahahhahaha

Seems like only yesterday that some BBIers

were furious at the Browns for letting the Skins make that trade.

We should all be thanking the Browns now!

the game yesterday. RG3 has really regressed. No mobility at all.I heard some comments on the radio comparing him possbly to Leach. Manning vs Leach and Luck vs RG3.

Leaf.

FStubbs : 11/24/2014 5:24 pm : link
A better comparison than Leaf at this point would be Rick Mirer. Like RG3 he was the #2 overall, had arguably more hype than the #1 overall (Drew Bledsoe), had a really good rookie year, then just washed out.
Leaf was never good

So at least RG3 isn't that level of bust.
Do you think other team's boards have

Never heard this before so checked the stats. Rick Mirer was never good. 12 TDs !7 INTs his rookie year. 11 Tds and 7 his second year. Awful.

RGIII's injuries mounted. I don't know if this would have happen anyway, but Shanahan may have accelerated the process.
RG III looks like a complete
SanFranGiantsFan : 11/25/2014 6:26 am : link
bust. He had one good season-dammit & it cost us the division-but he hasn't been nearly the same player since & all the injuries have definitely taken their toll. The 'Luck or RG III?' debate was always comical.
So they got RG at a cost of two 1st and a 2nd
WideRight : 11/25/2014 12:57 pm : link
and are able to put out a product that is competative with ours?

Stan was a backer of RG III - that alone was reason enough to go with Luck...

It wasn't competitive with the Giants head-to-head, was it?
