has doomed this team
Coughlin, when up 21-10 and then 21-17 forced us to play so conservatively on offense that he left points on the board in the third quarter and torpedoed this team.
He has no understanding of momentum, and by the time we had to turn the offense back on, he team was playing on its heels.
Run Run Pass conservatism has aided thr opposing team's defense on a consistent basis that it leads to us leaving points on the board.
Unleash McAdoo or just retire.
Play selection probably isn't the problem overall. Lack of talent is more likely.

Murray was consistently putting his team in 2nd and 5 situations
While we faced 2nd and 10 on a regular basis
I am not a jets fan.
the Cowboys lined up in the exact same running formations and ran several different running plays. The zone counter play killed us many times.
Whereas we line up in the same tired formations and run the same guard pulls every single time.
Hence
Run
Run
Pass
You mean the one where we faked it the one time and ran a screen?
Yeah, you're a Jets fan...
they had the cowboys guessing because of the shotguns/no huddle. it was very effective....and then it just stopped.

Yeah we decoyed beckham for an incompletion on third down and then for no gain in the second half
Can't complain when its working only when it doesn't. There was a successful stretch in the 1st half when they ran 5 and passed 1.

Yeah and that's the problem. Cowboys have the most dominant run blocking OL in football. Giants have one of the worst. The Giants should not be using the same approach as the Cowboys.
Especially the way Eli and OBJ destroyed the Cowboys in the first half
So what do we do in the 2nd half? Run Run Pass Punt. Run Run Pass Punt. We pissed away 2 possessions, momentum and likely the game.
Did we run a lot in the first half too? Yes, with terrible results for the most part. It was our passing game that carried us in the first half and then we abandon it to open up the 2nd half.
If we ran like Dallas I'd be fine running all day long. But we suck at running the football yet call plays like we are the Cowboys offense.
We also won Time of Possesison 35 - 25. Which is meaningless. The goal is to score points on offense....not hold the ball a long time or establish balance.
We started off great on offense and then went into a shell to start the 2nd half. That is horrific coaching that probably cost us the game.
Yes and Eli bailed them out of a number of third and longs with some great throws.
That's only going to work for so long.
You have to pass the ball on first down in the NFL today. And by pass the ball on first down, I don't mean when you are already way behind, which is when the Giants do it. You have to establish that you can and will throw the ball on first down. Giants don't have an OL where they can just come out and run like the Cowboys.
The game plan and play calling has to help the OL out by keeping the defense off balance. Coughlin does the exact opposite by predictably running the ball. Cowboys were run blitzing on almost every first down. Yet, Giants just kept running, despite getting little or no yardage.
You have to establish the pass immediately in today's game. Can't wait until you fall behind and the D knows you have to pass--which has been Coughlin's approach.
So basically your argument is because we had 2 good runs in the first half it was a good game plan to abandon the pass to start the second half.
You think opposing coordinators can't do the same?
Also, there was ONE drive where they were productive and it was later in the second half. That would suggest that the Giants were starting to wear down the Cowboys some. Unfortunately that was not the case.
That tells you something about the plan.
