This is the play that comes to mind when I search it for something to compare it to.....
Ovechkin goal - ( New Window )
In terms of what I felt at that time?

The level of shock puts it beyond comparing it to other sports plays. It was like the first time I saw boobs.
Sehorn's interception.

It's a never forget play.

Seth nailed it with Endy...

Not sure how any of the other plays mentioned are reminiscent...

That catch was not only athletically and visually similar, it was also a similar situation in which the play happened and you think "OMG, I can't believe that just happened...we are destined to win this thing"....and then the team loses. Of course one was Game 7 of the NLCS and the other was a meaningless game in November... haha

I still think the Tyree catch was better, because I still haven't seen any like it before or since.

Here's one sort of similar to Beckham's.

That was actually the year before, in 1997, I believe. Unbelievable movement on that ball.
None of those even compare.

OBJ's catch left me looking in disbelief. Like, did I just see that? How is that physically possible? A catch by an OF to rob a HR in a big moment is special, but you see catches like that all the time. We will never witness a catch like OBJ's again. That was unhumanlike.

I just posted a catch like it.
Tyree's catch was special as well(obviously),

but in a different way. I guess that's the only sports play that I've ever witnessed that comes close. Physically, OBJ's catch just seems impossible to me. I was looking at the screen thinking...did I just see that?

wasn't even #1 by Jeter. I'd say the Jeter diving into the stands play is up there.
