With a blow out win I have moved into 5th place by points. I still need to win if I want to be in the playoffs. Who would you start??

qb: Romo vs Eagles or Kaepernick vs Seattle.

and

Flex: Ty Hilton vs Wash, Ryan Mathews vs Bal or Tre Mason vs Oak

as of now I have Romo and TY Hilton but Mason could go off vs Oak
I'm out of my playoff...
RC02XX : 11/25/2014 8:55 am : link
because I had Beckham on the bench. I mistakenly decided to play C.Johnson, B.Marshall, and R.Cobb...they scored me a total of 13 points. D.Brees valiantly almost got me the win last night, but my final score fell 4 points short of the win. So my season is over.

I'll never doubt you again, OBJ!
Romo and TY

you need guys who you KNOW will get you some points. Let the guy you are going up against play someone who could give him 2 points on the week. Dont you do that.
Romo
dep026 : 11/25/2014 8:56 am : link
is such an easy choice at home. Eagles defense sucks. And Hilton is a stud. Always start them.

My dilemma will be if Foster plays, than do I go with Jennings or Watkins. Watkins lack of targets is really discouraging. I really felt he was going to dominate after a few weeks with Orton, but he doesnt get many looks anymore. Woods and Hogan seem to get more 1 on 1s which Orton is throwing him the ball.
Pretty easy calls for me there...

Romo and Hilton.

My squad just dropped 205 and moved me up into 2nd place. I'm tied with 4 other teams at 7-5.. the 1st place team is 9-3. My team is 1st in pts. Sucks that I probably won't catch him because he only needs to win one of his last 2 matchups to clinch 1st place. But who knows. As long as I'm in the playoffs I'll take my chances

Funny, I did the same thing in a league where I had Cobb, AJ Green and Emmanuel Sanders. So, you can see why I had OBJ on the bench. In that league, I am in the 4th position and 2nd in overall points. So, I need to win next week and get into the 2nd or 3rd seed so that I do not go up against the leader in round 1 who really is tough to beat.

Do you do a side pot for most points? I am shocked to hear how many leagues DONT do something for most points.
Def Romo and Hilton...

and id go Jennings over Watkins.

Week 1 of my playoffs and i have tough RB and WR choices. Pick two of each position

RB - Forte (DET), Jennings (JAX), Denard (NYG), CJ Anderson (KC)
WR - A. Brown (NO), Beckham (JAX), Gordon (BUF), M. Evans (CIN)
Forte and Anderson and Brown

are no brainers.

Id probably go Beckham, but playing Gordon wouldnt be stupid. Tough to leave Evans on the bench though. You guys should start more people in your league.

Unfortunately we don't. I wish we did.. it was the highest score in the league all year.

I actually had the highest score to date dropped on ME just last week when I lost 194-139.. my 139 would have been enough to beat the other 8 teams and it was against the team in 1st right now. Backbreaker. Had I won that matchup I'd be in 1st place right now.

Man that's hard.. a lot of studs in there. Forte is a must start. He's the top RB in .5/1ppr leagues .. and I think CJA is a must start at this point as well. So there's your RB's (I'm starting those two as well)

And as for WR.. much tougher. Antonio Brown should never sit. And really, I think you just go matchups with the other guys and OBJ is probably your best bet. It's a complete toss up between he and Gordon especially. But I think you go with the WR with the better QB and the better matchup.
Thanks Dep and Arc....
Italianju : 11/25/2014 9:17 am : link
Dep we do have a flex spot but its an OP spot which basically makes it a 2QB league and i have Peyton and WIlson and i cant see sitting wilson for any of the WR/RB's listed.

Brown and Forte are def impossible to sit. Anderson has the worst RB matchup of the other 3 which is the only reason i was considering sitting him. As for WR i do have Beckham as my second right now based on matchup so i guess thats how ill stay for now (prolly change my lineup 20 times this week, ha).
I just traded Forte for Demaryius Thomas
robbieballs2003 : 11/25/2014 9:21 am : link
I sealed up a first round bye. My WRs were awful. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE. Here is my team.

Peyton

CJ Anderson
Crowell
Ingram
McKinnon
Latavius Murray
Hyde

Demaryius Thomas
Roddy White
Garcon
Malcolm Floyd
Kendall Wright
John Brown

Donnell

Bailey

Pats
Ok...so I just looked at the standing again, and I'm still alive...
RC02XX : 11/25/2014 9:22 am : link
but barely.

I do need help to get the #6 seed out of 12 teams. There are three teams vying for the #6 spot with me playing against one of the three (I'm favored to win by 15+ points) and the other team playing against the #2 seed this week.

Starters for now:
Drew Brees - QB
Brandon Marshall - WR
Calvin Johnson -WR
Rashad Jennings - RB
Giovani Bernard - RB
Martellus Bennett - TE
Randal Cobb - Flex
Nick Novak - K
Detroit - Def

Bench:
Eli Manning
Isaiah Crowell
Darren McFadden
Jonas Gray
Odell Beckham Jr.
New York Giants

Questions are:
1) Do I move OBJ in as either a WR or Flex. Over which of these three: Johnson, Marshall, and Cobb

2) Do I keep Bernard as the RB or put Crowell in since he showed some great things last weekend.

3) Do I start the Giants Def over Lions Def based on the matchup?
.
arcarsenal : 11/25/2014 10:14 am : link
I would honestly not start the NYG defense under any circumstances in fantasy this year.

Really my only questions for this week are Kenny Stills or Andre Johnson as my WR3 and Lamar Miller or Isaiah Crowell as my flex.

I think I'm going to go with Stills and Crowell.

Hopefully Julius Thomas can give it a go this week so I don't have to start Donnell again.
I have a tough decision
nygiants16 : 11/25/2014 10:23 am : link
Mccoy or Julio Jones in my flex spot?

I have Bell and Cj Anderson as my starting RBS

I have Beckham and Cobb as my starting WRs

Mccoy has killed me all year but Julio has struggled to really get going like he was at the beginning of the year...i am leaning Jones

1 PPR
Id go Jones over
dep026 : 11/25/2014 10:27 am : link
Cobb. Atlanta's offense is playing better.

I still have another Ryan vs. Rivers dilemma. SD at Baltimore and Ryan home vs. Atlanta. Neither is good matchup whatsoever.

My only thing with Cobb is though he has been a beast the past couple of weeks and really has only had 2 bad weeks all season and one of the bad weeks he scored a TD...

Falcons are playing the Cardinals my fear with Julio is the Cardinals get a ton of pressure on Ryan and he has no time to throw

I'd use McCoy in the flex and leave Cobb as your WR2. Jones has one big game in his last 6 and has only scored once since Week 3.

starting romo or kap (vs seattle no less) and TY or Mason...cmon dude.

i have to bench Brandon Lafell
djm : 11/25/2014 11:13 am : link
I have AJ Green, TY and Josh Gordon....can't sit any of those guys.

Somehow I still have a shot to make the playoffs in my other league but i need to outscore the other seeded team by 40. My roster is loaded right now...there's hope.
Start 3 of these 4 WRs:
Sonic Youth : 11/25/2014 11:16 am : link
(full point PPR)

Alshon Jeffrey @ Det
Boldin @ Sea
Jordan Matthews @ Dal
Steve Smith @ SD

The bye seemed to really help Steve Smith. Boldin has been playing great, not sure I can bench him.

I put in waiver claims on Blount, Latavius Murray, Daniel Herron, and Jarvis Laundry, in that order. I need a RB bad, but if I miss them all I think I should pick up Landry anyway as depth.

What would your order be on those waiver claims?
Who do I start?
Doubledeuce22 : 11/25/2014 11:29 am : link
Keep in mind this is a several year keeper league and that is why my team is so stacked. Right now this is what I have in:

QB - Luck
RB - Lynch
RB - Charles
WR - Calvin
WR - TY Hilton
WR - Emmanuel Sanders
TE - Gronk

Bench - OBJ and Andre Ellington

Do I start Ellington over Lynch? Is there anyway I can bench one of those WR for Beckham?
.
arcarsenal : 11/25/2014 11:31 am : link
Remind me to never join a keeper league.

That roster looks like it belongs in a 4 team league. It's just silly. You literally have top players at every single position.
It's pretty ridiculous
Doubledeuce22 : 11/25/2014 11:36 am : link
Team is 11-1 with 5 high weeks (We get paid $20 per high week). I made some solid moves though. Offseason traded Nick Foles ($12) and Michael Floyd ($4) for Andrew Luck ($9). Calvin got in the draft for $71. Gronk in the draft for $32. Traded Alshon Jeffrey ($3) and Montee Ball ($10) for Jamaal Charles ($42) at the trade deadline. Have had Hilton ($3) for the past 3 years and Sanders ($1) for the past 2 years.

Still, do I pull Lynch for Ellington? I don't think I can pull any of my WRs for OBJ even though I really want to. I would almost lean towards benching Calvin but they are playing Chicago...

a playoff birth in one league, but i'm holding my breath. I won by less than a point. he had brees and forsett last night i was up like 50 and thought it was a lock. not so.

I'm hoping this week is meaningless other than maybe a bye.

other league i was 1 - 8, now I'm 5 - 9 and if i sweep a double-header this weekend i can sneak into the playoffs.

this is the team i traded away forte, hillman, and my other "good players" for keepers like kelvin benjamin and sammy watkins. odell beckham might have resuscitated my hopes.

long shot, but not dead.
My league:
kmed : 11/25/2014 12:30 pm : link
Entrance fee is $150. We pay $75 to the team with the most points at the end of the regular season and $75 to the team with the best record at the end of the regular season. Then the winner of the whole thing gets 75% of the pot(fee+pickups) and the 2nd place gets 25% of the pot.
.
RicFlair : 11/25/2014 12:32 pm : link
heres my team in the ppr money league, just jumped from 6th place to 3rd place, do you guys think I should try to trade one of my top 3 wr's for a rb? or just ride with what i have and keep my eye on waivers.

my thinking is im getting so many points from my wr's that just average points from my rb's is good enough.

I'm in a great position.
kmed : 11/25/2014 12:34 pm : link
I clinched 1st place and a 1st round bye after last week's game. One of those years where luck vibed with skill. Most points in the league, but also lucky enough to end with the best record. I can start planning for my week 15 team when everyone else still needs to manage for week 13. Thoughts on picking up KC defense who gets Oakland at home?
Cleveland D if they're available has a great matcup week 15

Cle has Cincy in week 15,

I do not like that matchup as Cincy is trending up big time, IMO.

I like Herron, mostly because I hate Richardson and their offense is special.

KC looks like the best bet being at home against a division opponent. Definitely a safe choice with a chance for big points.
I was pretty pleased with the handling of my team this year....
dep026 : 11/25/2014 1:37 pm : link
there are 4 teams who have been head and shoulders above everyone just via of points. Its not surprise that three of those teams have Brady, Luck, Manning as their QBs. My team has had some decent amount of luck. Guys like Brown, Foster (when he played), Rivers (at least the first half of the year) really gave me a good start. Threw in some performances from Bradshaw, Watkins, Lafell, and McCoy. But now in the home stretch, if Foster is healthy...

QB - Rivers
Rb - McCoy
RB - Foster
WR - Brown
WR - Gordon
WR - Beckham
Flex - CJ Anderson (or Watkins if CJ loses his job)
K - McManus
D - roulette between Ravens, Rams, Chargers.

If Rivers can put up so games like he did earlier in the year, I would put my team up agaisnt anyones in my league.

Anderson looks better than Hillman, IMO. He's more powerful. Hillman is not a big dude. The most impressive part about CJA against MIA was the way he was just powering through tackles, pushing piles and getting extra yards.

Don't get me wrong, Hillman looked good without a doubt but I think CJA is the best RB on that roster. Hillman will probably get touches when he's back but it's going to be hard to get CJA off the field if he keeps running like that.
I agree, CJ looks better, but hillman looked really good
