All you hypocrites are begging for talent on D. Well we had it and now it's on Baltimore.
The Giants are doing a great job winning the "morality" award.
Should have listened to me and kept the kid, he'd be our 2nd best player behind ODB.
Besides prince/Hankins this is one of the least talented DEF cores I've seen. Hope Cooper Taylor is the goods
In reality, Will Hill is in a much better situation. Giants did him a huge favor by cutting him. Now, he gets to go to a new organization and get a fresh start.
I would have kept Will Hill because his transgressions were not serious except in a public relations sense. He was not involved in a murder like Ray Lewis. He was just irresponsible and dumb--like a lot of guys his age.
But I also see why the Giants cut him. They had to send a message to other young players about what will not be tolerated. Unfortunately, that message was largely diluted by the fact that Hill has landed on his feet and is in a much better situation than if he were with the lousy 3-8 Giants.
2) those whining about people whining... did not want him... and don't enjoy being wrong about whether it made sense to keep him.
3) no players seemed to talk bad about him... but I guess that doesn't matter.
4) at least we have good citizens like kiwi.
How many non-sequiturs, red herrings, and flights of fancy can be packed into a single, short post. Voila, here is a great example.
Why did Baltimore sign him? Because they are not wise like the Giants?
Quote:
Because he said after the third time he would never do it again and he meant it that time? Because he is the messiah? Because he would have completed that pass to Preston Parker? Because he wouldn't have let Romo run around the pocket for 8 seconds on consecutive plays? Because he could have come in after his suspension and single handedly righted the ship? Because Perry Fewell looked to him to quarterback the defense?
Why did Baltimore sign him? Because they are not wise like the Giants?
Because Will Hill got a clean slate once he was waived from the Giants, and the Ravens didn't give Will Hill multiple chances to do right by them? Who's to say that they won't cut him if he makes the same mistake multiple times and get suspended for an entire season?
Also, you're talking about a team and organization that prides itself in immortalizing a player, who was known to have obstructed a murder investigation. Oh yeah, a team that also kept a wife beater on its roster until it became a PR nightmare?
You can say a lot about the Ravens, but a model organization ran with class it aint.
Just wish we could have made it work.
last night was salt in the wound to say the least.
They don't even meet your arguments. 49ers and fans greet Smith with open arms after he missed 5 games last season for two DUI arrests and 9 games this year for possession of drugs a lot worse than weed. Also charged with felony of possessing assault weapons. He's going to have to kill someone before they release him.
McClain does 18 days in prison and 'Boys grab him and he becomes their defensive MVP.
And now the Ravens. The whole league is laughing at the Giants.
But the real puzzler is not even about Hill. These people want to crucify Reese (and I agree) for a roster full of lousy players. But every move he makes, they're behind him.
Let one of the great Giants, Tuck, go when he was willing to return for millions less than Raiders offered. Actually embarrass the guy. And replace him with Kiwanuka? "Yeah, good move, Tuck is done."
Joseph, one of the few good premium draft choices Reese made. Should be a no-brainer to re-sign him. Not flashy, but a stalwart in the middle. "Good call, Jerry. We don't need to overpay this guy. We have another second round draft choice ready to replace him."
So subtract Tuck, Hill and Joseph and add the worst rushing defense in the league. But we saved money and got rid of a serial weed smoker.
You can't have an intelligent argument with these people.

Yep, because the Giants held one of its players accountable, the entire league is laughing at one of the stalwart franchises and one of three teams to win multiple Super Bowls in the 21st Century.
And if you are going to argue about the Ravens, 49'ers, and Cowboys as evidence of some great organizations because they kept their shithead players (even immortalizing a known accomplices to a murder), then more power to you.
These past few years haven't been the Giants years, and I doubt that having Will Hill would have really changed much of that. Why not just let it fucking rest already.
And yeah, if you don't think Reese and Coughlin won't be here next year, I got a bridge to sell ya (that Chris sold me).
Right - Despite all his talent, Will Hill wasn't even drafted b/c he couldn't stay out of trouble. Odd on smooth sailing going forward? Stay tuned.
