the (disastrous) events of the first film? If so, you'd think the engineers and park owners would shy away from breeding the most dangerous species of dinosaur.
And what parent would send their kid there knowing about the fate of Hammond's experiment?
And why is Chris Pratt riding a dirt bike flanked by raptors? Does he have them trained to help him hunt down the Labosaurus?
Do Pratt and the redhead bone inside a brontosaurus carcass?
All worthless questions for what will be a trainwreck of a film.

Those were some of the worst questions I've ever seen posed about anything. Congrats!!
Chris Pratt, I'm so happy for that guy lol. What a career he's having.
And I did not know who Bryce Dallas Howard was. As someone who is in love with Jessica Chastain, my world has been shattered that there could be a redhead in Hollywood even hotter. This is by far the number 1 thing I'm taking out of this trailer lol.
Chris Pratt on his motorcycle riding side by side Â
I enjoyed the first one and loved the book. I hated everything that came after. The formula is the same over and over and over and over. Idiots bewildered by the magic of real life Dinos followed by idiots being eaten by Dinos followed by the requisite super-smart velociraptor near death experiences for the lead character.
Years ago I read the book, log=ng before the movie. It was a great read.
After the 1st one, the rest are just stupid ways to make more $ off the same damn thing. Dinosaurs running loose, killing people.
I think the reason people keep watching this crap is just the overall fascination that the average person (myself included) has with dinosaurs. This is the closest we will ever get to seeing a live one.
If I have the story pegged right, some time after the last movie, they figured out how to make a working Jurassic Park. It's successful, safe, and profitable for years. So much so that people find dinosaurs routine and boring. They crossbreed a dinosaur to create a new attraction. So basically, money.
it just to support pratts career I really like the guy and this transition to action hero is great to see I think he would make a great indiana jones if they ever decided to remake that series.
People like to shit on everything lately. I don't think it looks bad. Yeah, a couple of the lines seemed corny and who knows about the whole genetically engineered dinosaur thing but we'll see how that turns out. They pretty much had to do something wacky like that to justify another movie. It would be dumb if another big dinosaur just happened to get loose yet again. At least now they have some kind of "reason" for it, as silly as it may be.
But regardless, I think it will be a fun movie. And it has Chris Pratt.
1) Did Crichton write a novel for this, or just sell the rights to future screenplays? Because that is embarrassing if he wrote it.
2) The first one was an excellent book and OK movie that doesn't even really stand the test of time. At least for me, when I see it on TV, I usually keep searching channels.
3) The second was an OK book and crappy movie and the third was just bad all around. So, why would anyone expect this to be good?
4) How would this park even open given the events that came before it? How would anyone let their two kids go alone?
5) Trained raptors? Come on!
6) I love how people here know what a real velociraptor looked like. When the original movie was being made, science told us the raptor looked pretty close to how it did in the movie. Now, it is thought to be more bird-like. The truth is, we will never know.

Um....no, science didn't think raptors looked anything like what was in the film, not even back then. They made pretty much everything but the name up.

I think Bradley Cooper would be great as a rebooted Indy.

I actually understand that reason for a hybrid. That's a good one, TTH. Someone explained to me that in the book, the dinosaurs were modified to look like what the public would expect, and also were considering making them more easy to handle. So your explanation fits in with that.
It definitely looks like shit. Like someone else said, there's too Â
Nice visuals. Bryce Dallas Howard, that is.

...what more needs to be said?

That they're both running from the same thing makes a bit more sense.
But maybe that's just me?
by the way the last apes movie was very good. Actually the last two ape movies were very good. Some reboots or sequels do in fact work...

first off when the cgi looks horrible in the trailer.. it sets the tone for me right away.
too much cgi... less is more.
I thought they covered that in one of the sequels? I can't recall. Maybe it was a book-only thing.

we need clear IP on the dinosaur, the toy companies say they can’t have any copycats this time
I find the angst over a "made up" dinosaur to be funny considering what a real Velociraptor looked like:
And how big it was:
"OMG! How cute! Let's play kick the turkeysoruas!"
Who cares about a new made up dino? They made up Velociraptor for the first one already.
But regardless, I think it will be a fun movie. And it has Chris Pratt.
He pulled of a masterpiece 21 years ago and is now going all George Lucas on this one.

Spielberg is the exec producer.
Written and directed by Derek Connolly and Colin trevorrow.
It does say "based on characters created by Michael Crichton" so he must be getting a cut.

I doubt he made a deal too recently as he has been dead for 6 years...
I think Bradley Cooper would be great as a rebooted Indy.

One last thing... after the events of the first few movies, people actually decide to go BACK to that fucking island??????
