1) Did Crichton write a novel for this, or just sell the rights to future screenplays? Because that is embarrassing if he wrote it.
2) The first one was an excellent book and OK movie that doesn't even really stand the test of time. At least for me, when I see it on TV, I usually keep searching channels.
3) The second was an OK book and crappy movie and the third was just bad all around. So, why would anyone expect this to be good?
4) How would this park even open given the events that came before it? How would anyone let their two kids go alone?
5) Trained raptors? Come on!
6) I love how people here know what a real velociraptor looked like. When the original movie was being made, science told us the raptor looked pretty close to how it did in the movie. Now, it is thought to be more bird-like. The truth is, we will never know.
Um....no, science didn't think raptors looked anything like what was in the film, not even back then. They made pretty much everything but the name up.
it just to support pratts career I really like the guy and this transition to action hero is great to see I think he would make a great indiana jones if they ever decided to remake that series.
I think Bradley Cooper would be great as a rebooted Indy.
If I have the story pegged right, some time after the last movie, they figured out how to make a working Jurassic Park. It's successful, safe, and profitable for years. So much so that people find dinosaurs routine and boring. They crossbreed a dinosaur to create a new attraction. So basically, money.
I actually understand that reason for a hybrid. That's a good one, TTH. Someone explained to me that in the book, the dinosaurs were modified to look like what the public would expect, and also were considering making them more easy to handle. So your explanation fits in with that.
It definitely looks like shit. Like someone else said, there's too
Spielberg is the exec producer.
Written and directed by Derek Connolly and Colin trevorrow.
It does say "based on characters created by Michael Crichton" so he must be getting a cut.

I doubt he made a deal too recently as he has been dead for 6 years...

One last thing... after the events of the first few movies, people actually decide to go BACK to that fucking island??????
