Suh or JPP?

I'm sure as shit not paying JPP what Suh will command.

The defense needs to be restocked with hungry players that are trying to earn the contracts these two guys figure to command.

and I wouldn't think about it for a second.

He is a beast and I could live with the penalties.

Or do you think he's going to turn it off because he got paid? Haven't paid too much attention to him, but any time I watch the Lions he's been pretty damn good.

Good luck trying to do that in one offseason with only 7 draft picks...

Any FA you get that is "hungry" and not commanding a big contract has likely underperformed to date.

because of what it would do for his marketability. I don't blame him for that a bit, but it would give me pause before making him a cornerstone of the franchise.

I've never read about work ethic concerns with Suh and though I haven't seen a lot of Lions games this season, it seems he's cut back on the dumb penalties.

This D needs Suh's attitude/nastiness/edge as much as his skill.

BBI we have JPP for one more season. If that is not correct, please let me know but I would sign Suh and then let JPP play out his deal.

Yeh the next one will be bigger but the last one made him filthy rich and the next one will have less financial impact on him. ..He performed well work the lat one, he is not going to quit trying after the next one..

Watch the E60 pice on him. He is not a head case. He is just a different kind of player/breed.

He has not had a single "dumb" this year ... thats due to the HC...TC can handle him.

As far as $$$ go JPP is going to be a lot cheaper than expected...he'll get an incentive laced contract wherever he goes ... his lack of sacks will hurt him no matter what.

JPP had one season at the top. An MVP season - sent us to the playoffs single handedly in a way. But i'm not paying him the money he wants for what he did three years ago. Derek Jeter might have been able to pull that kind of money for what he did over the course of his career.... This may be New York but we're not the Yankees and he's not Derek Jeter

I'm not a big fan of Carl Banks, but what he's been saying all along is proving to be true... Giants defense keep getting punched in the face, they get up for more & never put a fight. As a fan its embarrassing, cant imagine how it would feel for players on the field.

I'd definitely sign on for a guy like Suh, who's never been a problem/distraction for the team on or off the field.

Having said that, WTF happened to JPP... its honestly sad. Seems like his best is behind him a just 25?!!

Big cap hit for one player requires a clear direction regarding scheme.

Suh is the superior player without question, but it's difficult to see NYG signing a DT for the correlating cap hit.

Nobody fears anything about our defense. Suh would lead the charge in changing that. Suh plays hard every week. JPP has incredible physical gifts but doesn't try very hard with any consistency. Suh every day, all day.

PFF already has Hankins as the 6th best DT/NT in the NFL, and he should only be better next year.

You wouldn't be able to double both Suh & Hankins either. Would be fun to watch.

Amen! and we would still have Ayers, Moore and JPP if we can get him for a realistic contract. Suh and Hankins would protect McClain and whoever else would be playing LB so that they could play un accosted, besides getting pressure up the middle, which we don't get now.

Chris, I agree! JPP has regressed, can we be inventive and try some different rotations along the line. Moving Strahan to LE was a move that was never regretted.

SUH is a man who doesn't need a supporting cast.

of course they should be a big part of the plan but you have to add some playmakers to this defense. There is absolutely no one teams have to game plan against. I love Rolle's attitude and spirit but I can't count how many INTs he has dropped, JPP is a ghost of his past self and the jury is still out on DRC. I would shit can the lot of them except for Hankins and Prince and probably Ayers because there might be more untapped potential there. They also have to add some toughness.

This the biggest bunch of no talent pussy shit talkers I can ever remember on a Giants defense.

I hope the Giants serously explore the idea of adding Suh, I hope they do their due diligence and make a sound educated decision because I have no confidence that they can draft their way out of this mess.
