So why haven't we seen more of Damontre Moore? TC explains: "Because there are times during the week when you talk about confidence level

So in other words, what I've been telling you guys all along. Moore hasn't been consistent in practice, which is where it all starts.

Guys, don't shoot the messenger.I'm just relaying what TC said about practice reps.
It's really fucked up that there are people here who still can't grasp this.
My problem is if TC doesn't really run the O and doesn't really do anything w the D how much of a Head coach will he be if retained? Lord knows he doesn't want to take full credit for the shitty specials.
And if he's right and the players Reese gives him suck?
Can we just clean house on both and bring in fresh people. I don't think either the coaching staff or the front office leave me with the feeling they really know what the fuck to do at this point.
It cannot be any worse than the shit show we have now.
Maybe not, but we're the next to last ranked defense and 3-7. At this point, if Moore goes on, how much farther does that defense really have to go? 3-8? 32nd? We're not exactly putting a title on the line by trying him out.
However the counter point is if the guy ahead of him on the depth chart knows perfectly well what to do, yet continually and obviously cannot do it, how is that better than putting a guy who may have the physical skills and athletic ability to do the job - but he might not fully know the job.
LOL, it's like a paradox, damned if you do, damned if you don't.
in a lost season I think it makes a little sense to throw Moore into the fire and find out just how much he doesn't know about his responsibilities.
It seems like they do this with OL more often and it's not like Moore is going to get Eli killed, he's just going to give up large chunks of yards and points....like they've been doing.
It cannot be any worse than the shit show we have now.
^This. But it sounds like he can't get on the field for the same reason as Brewer, namely that the coaches don't trust them to know their assignments. Shouldn't that have been known before they were drafted?
hi-yooooooooooooooooooo
been going to Giants games since 1975 as a five year old.
Putting Moore in cannot be worse than what we are seeing now.
You are sinking with Kiwi now and he is not going to be here next year. Why not see what Moore can do.
This team is absolutely desperate for a pass rush and this kids has been very effective at getting to the QB this year when given a chance.
This is why I want TC and PF gone...not because of our overall record or terrible defense....but because of the stupid decisions they continue to make.
Then coach him up cause the guys in front of him know the plays but can't make plays.
The team is going nowhere so he may as well be getting experience even if he misses an assignment...smh
Fewell has to go...this is ridiculous.
I'm not sure if that works that well with the combination of reduced on-field practice time and free agency.
In the case of Moore specifically, I think he has flashed when he has been in there. He is at least around the quarterback. It is 2014 and there is an absolute need for players who can rush the passer only. Moore doesn't need to play 1st down at all if he can get to the quarterback.
Obviously, DaMonster isn't Aldon Smith. But he's the closest thing we've got.
they are blind to the idea of a rebuild
It's really fucked up that there are people here who still can't grasp this.
Really? What you're watching week to week is guys that know what they're doing, and adding moore would fuck it all up?
GTFO, Moore stats in limited snaps shames Coughlin starters that he loves so much. More ridiculousness from the old man. Please retire Tom.
i think the truth is somewhere in the middle; closer to the latter.
^This. But it sounds like he can't get on the field for the same reason as Brewer, namely that the coaches don't trust them to know their assignments. Shouldn't that have been known before they were drafted?
Sure they should and whether they will get injured or not. Isn't predicting the future part of the job description.
Right now the Giants should be developing talent for next year and beyond.
It's really fucked up that there are people here who still can't grasp this.
He was drafted to get after the passer. He has been getting pressure and has a few sacks this year, yet Kiwi, who is breaking down before our eyes, is better because he knows his assignments better? Is that why Moore isn't on the field? OK then why is Ayers on the bench?
I understand to an extent what Coughlin is saying. But at some point you have to see what you have in the kid by giving him extended snaps, especially in a lost season. some guys find their game when the lights are on. Maybe Moore is that type of guy, maybe he isn't. but we have no clue and that's the point. About to head into year three and we still don't have a good read on this kid.
Plus, we sure as hell know what we have in Kiwi at this point and it ain't good.
To follow it up he said, "When you put pressure on the passer, everybody else's job is easier"....conversly I guess you can say when you dont put pressure on the passer EVERYBODY'S job is hard, DB's LB's QB's, etc.
