2 super bowls since Coughlin took over

remember how we felt in 2003? It would be like that but worse today if this franchise didn't close in 07 and 11. Thank God for that....

It doesn't completely excuse this shitty run but it's still something to keep in mind. Forget that they won two titles. From 05-2011 this franchise was never bad. The worse record was 8-8. OUtside of the Pats you just don't see teams sustaining good to great play for that long. The Giants were bound to slip up a bit here. Let's hope next year sees things turn around. Love when fans say this team is 2-3 years away. I'm sure those same fans were picking the Giants to win heading into the 2000, 1997 2005, 2007, 2010, and 2011 seasons. The same fans were all over Philly heading into 2013...

Things can turn around real quick in the NFL. Both good and bad.

Yes, he has warts, but some posters have no clue how good we have it at QB now. Once he retires, these same posters will only then begin to appreciate him...

It took over a decade to find a franchise QB after Simms and some schmucks on BBI want to kick Eli to the curb with no real plan after that. It's amazing to me. The day he retires will be a very, very sad day
Eli Manning

He's our QB and face of our franchise.
either Philly or Dallas will lose tomorrow

My father used to watch the Jets just to see Namath get hit. Very strange boy, my old man!
Select players like Eli and Beckham on offense

Hankins and Prince on defense. And that this season is almost over.

I don't think the Giants have a single face of the franchise which is a marketing term more than anything. Cruz is pretty popular and if OB keeps up this elite level of wide receiver play he may be like larry fitzgerald is in arizone the true FoF.
Eli
The Natural : 11/26/2014 4:52 pm : link
is absolutely the face of the Giants.
Thankful for Coughlin & Eli..
Sean : 11/26/2014 4:57 pm : link
these two have demonstrated themselves with nothing but class. Eli has his flaws, but he grinds and he is always looking to the next play. This franchise has given us TWO (2) Super Bowl Championships since the 2007 season which cannot be brushed over.
That I wasn't born in Philadelphia

I'm grateful to have BBI to vent or cheer about the Giants.

Thanks Eric.. Thanks Gary. Thanks Bold and the rest of the Mods.

my two boys (who wouldn't be here without my first wife) and the Giants who, by virtue of their victory over the '49ers in the 1986 divisional round, made it all possible.
As far as football goes, I'm thankful the Giants aren't owned by Dan

Snyder and that even though things are likely going to continue to be rough for this team for awhile, I have gotten to see four titles in my lifetime, experiencing it as both a kid and as an adult; I'll fortunately never be able to really sympathize with say a Browns or Jets fan.

family; of course life itself; being a Giants fan with the joy and pain it may bring.
Re Giants: 4 SBs, Eli, TC, about a dozen former players, and as bad as this season has been...knowing it will get better for us, while knowing that Philly, Washington, and Jerruh will always be Philly, Washington, and Jerruh; and that if an absolute miracle happened this year and we got into playoffs (if still possible)and got to the SB vs NE, we'd win it.
Happy Thanksgiving BBIers.
4 Super Bowl titles. I root for the Giants not specific

players or coaches, and quite frankly right now that is a good thing because there are not a lot of them on the team or staff to be thankful for.

with my son in Seattle as he was recovering from being blown up in Iraq, and for being able to watch the 2011 Superbowl with my daughter, son in law and my oldest grandson - who I have since taken to Giants Stadium a few times.

I am thankful for my wife, children, grandchildren, my sweet dog, for my mother in law, for my beautiful farm surrounded by beauty in the hudson valley, for my tractor, buttercup, and for my family who are all joining me to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow - all 21 of them - for Free Masonry - for the Great Architect of the Universe - for the souls of my parents who loved me - and I am grateful for all the gifts of sight that God has given me with which I enjoy beauty and living life - and for the many passions I've developed including my love for the NY Giants, cooking, wine, chocolate, paper folding, writing, pocketknives, the numerous organic vegetables I crave, pastured eggs and meat, coconut, the avocado, the artichoke and flowers - Thanks for all this and more - thanks for great literature and inspiring art, laughter and all the beautiful places in the world I visited - and Praise be to God and the rare gift and bounty of life!
Thankful that after 50 plus years

That I am still alive to watch the team

this year. That the managment was smart enough to keep TC, and that the Giants have been staying in most of the games having a chance to win throughout the game in spite of how much lacking our level of talent is at several key positions and in spite of the many key injuries we have had to endure.
