Also, I believe it was on the final pass of that drive, JPP was knocked to the ground TWICE by the Cowboys left tackle.

what you will about JPP on the final drive, but based on what I saw, he was the best DL we had in that game.

retain him at a very team friendly rate and bring in some real competition for his spot through the draft or free agency.

I don't think anyone is going to rush in a sign him to some huge deal.

So what? Best of a bunch of weakling, lack-o-skill DLs? "Best" doesn't tell us he ought to be praised or kept around.

If he had a real pass rushing threat playing DT next to him I'm sure he would look much better. He does get double teamed quite a bit.

No he doesn't. Maybe he was in 2012. Not anymore.
