With the 4th Overall pick in 2015 draft the Giants select..

est1986 : 11/27/2014 11:03 am
Now realistically the Giants will draft between 7th and 12th or at least IMO thanks to a favorable finishing schedule. BUT IF the Giants are at 4 and Leonard Williams, Marcus Mariota, and Amari Cooper are off the board, who do you want? I like the tackle from Stanford but we could go alot of ways, so many needs. BPA, "He was the highest guy on our board" seemed to work. But who would BBI take?
As much as I think there is a serious
LauderdaleMatty : 11/27/2014 11:05 am : link
Need for a tackle Gregory could be a great pick. Pass rush is an issue. I think a new DC is as big a need.
Damn no Cooper
AnishPatel : 11/27/2014 11:06 am : link
there. Not sure who else would be considered top we could take. Perhaps an OL prospect.
so wait the Giants have no way to get to #4
Blue Blood : 11/27/2014 11:08 am : link
but we are speculating what they would do at #4 ??
They won't end up with that high of a pick
steve in ky : 11/27/2014 11:08 am : link

I'd go with Randy Gregory

Gregory

Bring stability in the pass rush..8+ sacks the next 7 years

Gotta strengthen the trenches.

Its this simple BPA at OL DL
Imagine if the QB's were like 2004
Giants2012 : 11/27/2014 11:24 am : link
and the Giants picking high?

That would be interesting.
right now
spike : 11/27/2014 11:25 am : link
the Giants are tied at 6th with the Skins. So they are picking 7th.
Probably Williams
jeff57 : 11/27/2014 11:25 am : link
Gregory's a little on the lean side
If they see Williams as a JJ Watt type player, that works.
Jim in Forest Hills : 11/27/2014 11:32 am : link
If he shifts inside to DT I don't think he's a good value there. I'd lean towards Gregory.
I'd
AcidTest : 11/27/2014 11:35 am : link
probably go with Gregory, but would really like a trade down.
Trade down , pick up a second rounder
TampaGiant : 11/27/2014 11:50 am : link
And take one of these awesome running backs. Then in the second round with 2 picks go O-Line with both .....this would make me very happy
Things are bad enough without aggravating myself
Bill in UT : 11/27/2014 11:50 am : link
about who we could get with a pick we're not gonna have
Trade Eli for a first and third
Earl the goat : 11/27/2014 11:58 am : link
To either St. Louis. Houston. KC. Buffalo.

Take the 2 first rounders we have. Trade down for additional picks in a later round

Draft Trae Wayne's cornerback Michigan State

Draft Dorial Beckham Green. WR Oklahoma

Free agent Suh. Iupati. Cannon

QB. Ryan Nassib.

Send TC to front office with grace.

Sorry. I'm dreaming today. But in dallas for thxgiving with my son. Going to cowboy game and wearing my LT jersey

Best Player Available...
Not just OL period
kepler20 : 11/27/2014 4:38 pm : link
surefire tackle. No tweeners. We need a plain tackle.

Or go WR
Or go RB
BPA
JoeCabbie : 11/27/2014 6:01 pm : link
All ties go OL.
At #4 you take Gregory
Reb8thVA : 11/27/2014 6:14 pm : link
You will also be drafting at the top of the 2nd round that should allow you to still get a quality OL pick.
I would select the best pass rusher available
RoadWarriorz : 11/27/2014 7:00 pm : link
Even though OL is a need, I'm more concerned with our lack of talent on defense.

With some real pass rushers, our secondary will look better, esp when they get healthier next season.
We still need to get a couple of new linebackers also.
Best Player Available
SGMen : 11/27/2014 10:40 pm : link
Regardless of position, take the best player available and work from there.

We have a lot of holes on this team. But if we get a real OL in free-agency; get healthy with the IR'd; our youth develops (Robinson, Washington, Kennard, Behre, Richburg, Pugh, Williams, Bromley, Beckham, Donnell); and our free agent moves are the right ones, smart ones.

I think TC should get another year extension.
Draft Gregory
cokeduplt : 11/27/2014 11:07 pm : link
Or hope someone really wants Winston and trade with them
the only position I'd hesitate to take in the first round is CB
chris r : 11/27/2014 11:44 pm : link
other than that this team needs talent everywhere.
Draft
stretch234 : 11/28/2014 12:46 am : link
There is no OL worth taking at 4. The best of the group is not a LT in the NFL

The thing I would be worried about with Gregory is he is only 245lbs and he has been on some defensive teams that get steamrolled on the run

If Williams is there you grab him
Trade Down
Dragon : 11/28/2014 2:22 am : link
Not sure if we can get to the 4th pick but that would open the door to a possible complete overhaul of this team. This draft looks strong in OT, maybe not LT but solid RT's and once again WR and RB. The Eli trade only if we find out what we have in Nassib and he makes us believe he has the goods to be a starting QB in the NFL. The double trade down from 4th to top 12 becomes a BPA and the JPP factor along with FA's signed. If we trade Eli, and trade down twice we could be looking at three 1st round picks and two 2nd at for sure. That's five players for a team in need of 8-11 players, depending on FA's signed and JPP decision because he is a good DE but he is not the JPP we all hoped he would become once again and looks like he is out of position on the left side at this point.

My priority would be to get an OT several to choose from, Big speed WR Parker I like him more than Cooper to pair with OBJ, LB inside our out once again multiple options, safety even if we resign Rolle and finally CB. The key to draft is the trade or non trade of Eli because he represents a major trade value for us and a big wallet to spend in FA if traded not just for this year but two or three more in the coming years.
La'el Collins looking totally dominant against A&M
jeff57 : 11/28/2014 8:25 am : link
in the replay I'm watching on ESPNU. Might be the best T on the draft. Certainly appears to be the best run blocking tackle. Could play RT or LG until Beatty goes. At this point would take him if anywhere after 5.
BPA
JonC : 11/28/2014 11:08 am : link
Agree with Jim and Reb above. I see a 3-4 player in LW, not a 4-3 DE. Gregory should be able to play 4-3 DE, but need to see more to determine if he might be better suited to 3-4 OLB. He's similar to Aldon Smith.

No LT among the OTs, don't reach for a position.
I do like Peat
JonC : 11/28/2014 11:12 am : link
but that pick would be too high to draft an OT that isn't a LT in the NFL.

Maybe. I mean Lane Johnson was drafted 4th and he's been at RT this whole time
It won't be the fourth
Ira : 11/28/2014 1:57 pm : link
with the schedule we have, so I'm hoping for Landon Collins. He's a safety who can play center field like Phillips or Hill. That's been missing this season.
Agree with Ira. We may win 3 more games,
yatqb : 11/28/2014 3:07 pm : link
with the Jags, Skins and Titans coming up. I honestly hope not. I'd like the have a high choice and trade down unless there's a game-changer sitting there when we pick.

Largely because Jason Peters is one of the best LTs in the NFL ...
The reason i went with 4th overall
est1986 : 11/28/2014 9:00 pm : link
Is cause other than Leonard Williams, Marcus Mariota and Amari Cooper there is no sure fire top ten guys out there, TODAY in November. The probable fourth pick today could be a day two guy come April/May.

Right...and your point is?
Get the 4th pick and you trade it to move back and next years #1
Giants2012 : 11/28/2014 10:52 pm : link
to another team looking for a QB.

Giants should absolutely do the opposite
Jimmy Googs : 11/29/2014 7:11 am : link
of what they normally would in this next draft.

Pull a George Costanza and turn this franchise around quickly by picking out of the ordinary, swapping picks, trading players for picks, etc.

At a point Peters will move on, be it retirement or UFA, and Lane will slide over.

We will beat Jax and Tenn and some other cream puff and go 6-10 and pick number 14 again.
