The 2015 schedule

ray in arlington : 12/9/2014 9:42 pm
NYG get the AFC East

Home: NE, NYJ
Away: at BUF, at MIA

And the NFC South

Home: CAR, ATL
Away: at TB, at NO

NFC North

Away: at MIN or at CHI

NFC West

Home: probably STL or SF (SEA and ARI still possible)

So... no trips beyond the Midwest. Maybe the NFC South stays weak. NYG home against the jets.

And of course the last 2 times they played the AFC East you know what happened.

If the Giants beat WAS they clinch 3rd place.
Perfect

Another off-season of calling for Coughlin's job just like 2006 & 2010 followed by facing AFC East teams as they did in 2007 & 2011 and we all know what the outcome was, two Super Bowl Victories!!
2015 is coming, Coughlin stays and here we go again....
is it me

we hosted the Vikings last year. However, since the playoff game in Jan 2001 we have played them 7 out of 10 times on the road.

There is an alternation of home and away every 3 years
(e.g. 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013). Whether we get home or away games against them in other years depends on when we happen to finish in the same place as them within our respective divisions.

Saints ALWAYS whip our ass

When we play them in NO. I love going there but I can't stomach another of those beat downs in person
Love when the Giants play in Tampa
Ben in Tampa : 12/9/2014 11:51 pm : link
Basically a 9th home game
Good news for the Florida BBI contingent.

Tampa and Miami. Hopefully, they will be scheduled in late November.
Was looking at this yesterday as well
knicks3031 : 12/10/2014 6:59 am : link
I hope Chicago takes over Minnesota for that 3rd spot, would love to go to Soldier Field as my annual away game

the Giants could finish 4th and play the 4th place team in the NFC North. In fact if NYG lose to WAS, WAS will win the tiebreak in case of a tie, so NYG would have to do better in the final 2 games than WAS to finish 3rd.

Ray, I presume the above scenario will also put us ahead of Wash. in draft order?
it's a shame to waste a home game
oghwga : 12/10/2014 7:50 am : link
On the jets. Always better for the te a m to have that as an away game, one less road trip.

No. Tiebreaker for draft order depends on strength of schedule, not division tiebreakers (unless SOS is the same).
The third place team can pick ahead of the 4th place team.

In case of a tie, Was picks ahead of Giants unless TB and MIN win their last 3 and ATL and DET lose their last 3 and other stuff happens. (I have a post on draft order explaining this, you could search "order" to find it)

I remember about 1999
mrvax : 12/10/2014 8:14 am : link
when the Giants were terrible the year before, they had to play the Rams on the road. Just as the Rams got very good.

Then they played the Rams on the road for years and years after that. It sucked until the game when Dayne got that costly personal foul.

Fuck yes, Giants in Miami next year!
jgambrosio : 12/10/2014 8:16 am : link
We did have an "away" game a few years ago but that was in London. I can say that they have not played down here since I moved here in 2004.
that comment prompted me
ray in arlington : 12/10/2014 8:35 am : link
to see whether the Giants are playing in London in 2015. According to this link the answer is no.
3 London games in 2015 - ( New Window )
I'm not sure which game out of Tampa and Miami
Diver_Down : 12/10/2014 8:41 am : link
that I'm more excited to see. In Miami's case, they have talent and it will be a competitive game. In Tampa's case, they will likely still be terrible and a likely win for the Giants. Of course, Jax was supposed to be a sure win so nothing is guaranteed.
I have plans to take my boys to
MaineGiantFan : 12/10/2014 9:01 am : link
Miami or Tampa but have not been to either stadium myself. Am I wrong to assume that Raymond James would be the better experience ?
Tampa is a much better spot for the kids. And very easy on gameday wit
BigBlue in Keys : 12/10/2014 9:30 am : link
Lots of hotels with in walking distance too. I plan on going to both games in Fl and really hoping to set up a big tailgate in Miami. See y'all there!
Ray - I thought I read the Giants clinch 3rd with a win on Sunday
knicks3031 : 12/10/2014 9:34 am : link
regardless of if they lose the next 2. I'm operating under the assumption we win Sunday, the Redskins are a bigger mess than we are
I've been going to an away game once a season lately
Vin R : 12/10/2014 9:44 am : link
I would like to go to Tampa or New Orleans, wouldn't mind going to Buffalo
Buffalo in September is nice.
Diver_Down : 12/10/2014 10:04 am : link
The rest of the year - not so much.
buffalo
Les in TO : 12/10/2014 10:30 am : link
fans are crazy. saw a great game there in december 99 when blanchard kicked a game winning field goal and cedric jones for a brief moment justified his #5 overall selection. weather was actually pretty mild for december in buffalo. the stadium is a dump and you end up parking and tailgaiting on somebody's front lawn for $20.

I stated that in the thread starter, don't think anything I said on the thread contradicts that.
