I'm not looking for "prayers" or any sympathy. I am just putting this out there in hope that maybe it will help someone avoid a similar fate.
My girlfriend of 6 years arrived home from her night shift as a nurse on Wednesday morning to find her 24-year-old son dead. She walked into her apartment at around 9:45 am and all the lights were on including the bathroom one. She tried to push open the bathroom door but her son's body was blocking it. All she could do was reach her hand inside and lift his shirt to find that he was blue and cold.
She was screaming out his name saying "It's mommy! Please! Please! Baby! It's Mommy!"
She is a cardiac nurse. She didn't know how long he was down. She thought she could help him. She called 911 and had to wait 10 agonizing minutes until help showed up. They had to break down the door with a sledge hammer. Her son was long gone by then.
I have been down in PA with her and her family for the last 3 days trying to help them. Seeing her wailing in dispair was absolutely brutal. Watching her wake up in the middle of the night screaming for her lost son was equally hard.
My message is this: if you are a teenage or 20-something BBier, please don't do drugs.
