NFT: Man United vs. Liverpool: David de Gea

What a performance. De Gea's got to be at that elite level of keeper right now with Neuer and Courtois, especially considering the leaky sieve of a defense in front of him.

Just 7 months ago Liverpool almost won the league, and just 7 months later Brendan Rodgers is in serious jeopardy.
Valencia (I believe)

Made a sick play on that Rooney goal. As soon as it went through his legs I knew it was a goal.

De Gea was unreal today. Just phenomenal all game. I wanted Madrid to sign him before he left for ManU. Unfortunately Atletico wasn't going to give us him or Kun Aguero :(
Man of the Match

He was excellent. Then, as van Gaal so drily put it, he did what he was supposed to do, implying I think that Sterling and/or Balotelli could have been more patient, a bit more accurate, but deGea forced their hand with his smarts, positioning, and then his reflexes.

The blown call on Mata's (?) goal was just brutal, brutal; how do you not see that (and I know the complexity of centers and ARs, not easy)? And I couldn't make up my mind whether the flag should have gone up, or not, on the third goal.

Nice to see Rooney and van Persie so happy, giddy even, after the match; after last year's nightmare, it must feel especially good. Good to see them on the rise again; BPL needs more legit competition at the top to keep it from being a two-team run away.

screwed Rogers by trading away Suarez. And without Sturridge to support the team is not the same.
De Gea won't be there forever

I think it's only a matter of time before he goes to Madrid.

Will replace Castillas for club and country for the next decade. As a United fan, to lose another superstar entering his prime to Madrid, it will suck.
