"99.9 percent he’s back,” a source familiar with the club’s thinking told The Post Sunday night. The Giants, as is their preferred policy, prefer to make their decisions public when the season ends. “I have no comment,” co-owner John Mara said following Giants 24, Redskins 13. “No comment,” co-owner Steve Tisch said. Neither owner would divulge whether the decision on Coughlin’s future has already been made. A source had told The Post several weeks ago Coughlin’s return at that time was “50-50.” |

but the players seem to still be playing hard and there are a few bright spots.
I know a lot of fans are frustrated and want Coughlin gone, and Coughlin is ultimately responsible for this season, but I never thought the Giants would make a change this year.
I think, imho, we may even see some heads explode around here in a few weeks, because I have a feeling we may even see Fewell come back(personally I hope not).
I think Quinn may have hurt his chances a bit today(Coughlin didn't appear happy late)but I wonder if we'll see much in the way of change.
I don't understand how having the team playing hard when there is nothing to play for trumps the team being awful when there was everything to play for. 3 straight years the team has played hard after throwing the season away. This is the standard management is satisfied with?
Apparently. And the standard a lot of posters on here as well.
The true Teflon Don
That's nuts. Reese isn't the one coaching. There getting their ass kicked in the coaching department
Well these last 2 games have proven that Tom "hasn't forgotten how to coach" so if we lose the next 2 games it must be due to a lack of talent and we should fire Reese.

Did they prove that? It looked to me like the Giants were more talented than the last 2 teams they played.
And one of those teams, a legit argument can be made that they are the worst team in the NFL.
It probably wouldn't be true if they lost the last two games
Doesn't matter, its a year to year job no matter what the contract says
Should be his decision whether or not TC goes. Either way he is directly accountable for results in the field.
Similarly, if retained, Coughlin must be given authority to run his own ship, choose his own coirdinators, Fewell and Quinn included.
Moore is back to the bench.
I hate to be the one to say it, but can we lay off of Herzlich for a bit... The guy has been as terrible as anyone to ever put on a blue uniform for most of his career, but why complain about him now when is is on the best stretch of games of his career. I for one think we probably don't win yesterday without the very good run support from Herzlich. Did you not notice him out there shedding blockers faster than a Golder Retriever on your favorite couch? He played like a real man in the run game, and this is just the latest example of him doing so lately. He is on a tear lately and I don't feel like now is the time to be singling him out for insults.

Herzlich's overall Giant career is not "terrible". He has been excellent on ST
